   I recently visited a restaurant and had an overall pleasant experience. The restaurant was clean and well organized, creating a comfortable atmosphere. The staff were polite and attentive, and the service was prompt. I ordered a main dish, which was well presented and smelled appetizing. The food was flavorful, freshly prepared, and cooked. Overall, the restaurant offered good food and a welcoming environment. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice place to enjoy a meal.

   Two takeaway curries with rice, over $50, so not cheap eats. Malai kofta was 4 finger sized pieces, nice creamy sauce but stingy on substance. Chicken korma was good. Unfortunately found a piece of what appears to be metal in the last bite of my meal. Pretty disturbing, will not be eating at yellow chilli again. Advise restaurant to investigate where this might have come from. If you are eating there, suggest you check food grade certificate which should be displayed.

   This is my favorite Indian restaurant in the area (possibly in Wellington). Their food is well prepared and delicious. I tried the chicken sola —which is classified as a ‘starter’— and it has a full dinner’s worth of chicken, and it has a kick! The fried poppadom is so tasty and the garlic naan is GREAT. My family loves the butter chicken, especially my son who orders ‘Butter the Chicken’ off the kids menu. The only curious thing was how three people in my party ordered butter chicken and each person’s butter chicken came out in staggered order, my wife’s, then my daughter’s, and then my son’s. It was all extremely tasty, though, so no worries.

   Vegan Menu! They have a full Vegan menu to pick from. Highly recommend checking them out. City Restaurant prices but tasty food. I tried their Corn Aloo Tikki Chaat and their Special Masala Chai. Neither were vegan, that was my choice. I really enjoyed the Chaat — savoury, sweet, tangy, and crispy! Highly recommend. It’s a small portion but makes a decent meal for $15!

   Location of the restaurant is far away from the Wellington city in calm & peaceful kelburn. We ordered vegetarian dishes for our order. Food didn’t taste like pure authentic Indian food, we felt something was missing. but, it was doable. Service was slow, but staff was respectful to guests. Interiors of restaurant were cozy. Ample free parking was available on the streets nearby restaurant.
