Beautiful Small pub with great food, plenty of TVs for sport, and a awesome selection of gaming machines Food and drinks are pretty fairly priced and staff here are just absolutely fabulous couldn't recommend this place anymore you have to visit if your in the area
Nice quiet spot for a quick Saturday night dinner, I had the spicy chicken burger, it was a little underwhelming though. My husband had a beef and bacon burger, the beef pattie was quite small but he had asked to remove the salad part of burger, that got a laugh out of the staff. The chips that came with the burgers were top notch though and the best garlic bread ever, would come back just for that!
Writing this so that anyone using the ATM machine inside the Office Bar is aware. The ATM states that it will charge a fee of $2.80, but instead, it charged me $10.30?! My bank confirmed on the phone that the whole amount charged was from the ATM machine, as my bank does not charge me ATM fees. Maybe the incident was a “one time mistake” or maybe it’s robbery. Please be aware.
A place I'd walked past and never been in so, let's do it. Was bigger on the inside than I thought. Has a downstairs with pool tables, who knew. If you're a pokie machine person they have them. A few nice beers, an outside area. All good.
Great pub! Tasty food and beers on offer. Awesome service to boot.
Great pub, beer garden out the back, good selection of tap beers by the pint or by the jug. Plenty of TV's around, if you want to watch the horse racing or a sports match like the Rugby Union. Near to public transport, plenty of deals regards to food and drink for those who are wanting a feed with their drink.
Food is great
I can't speak for the food at all because I didn't have any, but as a bar I really like it, very "local" feel to the place, everyone kind of acts like they know each other even when they don't, the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful and extremely polite about last call, and the little fire outside in the courtyard makes it ideal for any smokers even over Wellington's windy winters. Highly recommend if your new to Newtown and hoping to meet some nice people.
