“Food and staff are a breath of fresh air. Polite, excellent service and tasty good looking food. Value for money is excellent. Coffee is on point as well.”
“Great café with a friendly staff and allergy friendly menu for those that desire/require it. French toast was next level.”
“Love this place real good for salads and uber eats”
“First Time at Old Town Malaysia Café Tried the Wan Ton Mee, Wat Tan Hor, and Fried Carrot Cake. The food was delicious, with flavors that reminded me of classic Singaporean street food—simple, comforting, and full of nostalgia. Portions are just right for one person. A great spot if you’re craving traditional tastes in a cozy setting.”
“This is a lovely place where to sit, enjoy a cuppa, and even get some work done. I love their modest but delicious GF options and their music selection is on point. Running into a friendly 4 legged patron from time to time is bonus that brings extra joy to my day.”
“A nice relaxed Sunday brunch at Cafe Kaizen. Lots of cabinet and menu choices to please all. Lovely staff and super quick service. Amazing coffee and hot chocolate to compliment our meals. The only decent place in Porirua cbd in our opinion, highly recommend.”
“Gorgeous breakfast and super friendly team. Busy for Fathers Day but they were helpful and served as fast as possible. Great meals and coffee.”
“Kudos to the young man at the counter who took the time on a very busy Friday morning to help me get the right oil for my car. You are an asset to your workplace. Exceptional service.”
“Love this place it’s my go-to sushi place in Hamilton I only wish I still went to the uni where it’s located so I had an excuse to buy from them more often I still get my medication from the campus pharmacy though and always get sushi when I go to pick it up”
“A spontaneous stop on the way to Chartwell & my friend & I were glad we did. A cafe that is airy, clean & spacious..nothing over the top fancy, just simple, comfortable & peaceful. We shared: egg sandwiches, sausage roll & apple strudel. Well..the tastiest egg sandwich in a long time, & had to be the best strudel I've ever had..yum & only slightly heated perfectly. My friend enjoyed her coffee & I changed my mind at last moment from coffee to try an iced chocolate..it was delicious with good amount of chocolate..nice chocolate too. I will be back when on next trip from Whangarei to visit family..for sure. O..I also brought a macadamia toffee n chocolate cookie which I ate on travel home that evening! Yum. Lovely staff! Footnote: I wrote the above over 2 years ago..I still pop here every time I'm in Hamilton..their Ginger crunch is the best..but not to eat straight away-let it come to room temperature soo best to takeaway..I suggest. Haven't had macadamia toffee crunch for ages though..I just remembered about this treat after reading the review I first wrote.”
On the plate at Mondo Cafe, the idea is coffee-and-cabinet and well executed. Service moves quickly through the morning rush. Service stays present without fuss. Portions are generous yet well judged....
“We visited Natures Miracles as part of a day excursion from our cruise. Wonderful opportunity to see a working sheep farm and local wildlife. Exciting ATV ride and simple but nicely prepared lunch buffet. I felt like we were visiting a farming family doing their best to maintain their extraordinary land and heritage with an entrepreneurial spirit. What a pleasure.”
“Best cafe around and the only one we have found with a decent sized large coffee (500ml bowl).. Been regulars for years but has just been taken over by Kings themselves. Fast service from a hard working and very pleasant staff. Best home made winter soup anywhere. Agree that it can be a bit too noisy due to the hard surfaces when very busy, but that is just about the only downside. Even when cool outside, blankets are available. Dog friendly and one of the few places around that can cope with a fair sized group and no parking problems.”
“This is located in the second floor of Smith & Caugheys shop. Several tables, great atmosphere. I had a delicious fritata with salad. Great value, tasty and affordable. The food options were good, lots of salads and other cabinet food. Very friendly staff. It will be very sad if this cafe closes.”
“The molten chocolate was an absolute delight warm, rich, and perfectly paired with creamy vanilla ice cream. The fresh strawberries and pistachio crumbs added a lovely balance of flavour and texture. Having this dessert in the beautiful surroundings of Mission Bay made it even more enjoyable. A moment where good food and a beautiful place came together perfectly.”
“Good place to see planes taking off. kids can have fun here.”
“Lovely cafe inside the botanical centre - a great place for a coffee surrounded by plants. I was very happy to discover that they have vegan milk options - soy, almond, and coconut milk for $1 extra, making my soy flat white $6.50. Good coffee and good atmosphere. They have a toilet on site as well. They have very limited vegan food options with only one on the menu that I could see. Would be great if they could expand their vegan offering.”
“The atmosphere was lovely and the food was great. The only feedback from my partner was that the breakfast could’ve included beans, and his smoothie seemed more like juice than a proper smoothie. Aside from that, my meal was delicious and the staff were all very friendly and welcoming.”
“Since rediscovering TBB&C it is now our come to place for our coffees and scones. The staff are super friendly, courteous and accommodating. Our wee Ruby already knows the way when out walking where she gets spoilt by the staff with a treat ( so good when visiting and animals are shown affection) Thank you”
“Best Bakery ever will always go here great service nice people and yummy pies”
Bakehouse Cafe delivers a coffee‑and‑cabinet line‑up that’s straight to the point. Cabinet bakes and slices cover a quick stop. Breakfast plates are tidy and satisfying. Service stays present without fuss.
“Going to this cafe is such a beautiful way to start your morning. Staff are friendly and the food is excellent. Would recommend this cafe to anyone wanting a nice cosy place to enjoy a cuppa or a meal.”
“Was recommended to come here for the Lambs Fry, so I made the trek out to this little cafe and it dosent disappoint. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful! The food was homely and very satisfying as well. They have a whole range of food items, hot or cold! Of course there are espresso based drinks, as well as alcoholic if you want a cold brew! There are lovely little tables inside to sit at, or there are tables littered all over the courtyard!”
“Great breakfasts. Good thing was the eggs were soft. Waitresses need to be trained though. Delivered our coffee but walked away without clearing last guests plates and cups. Needed to call her back. Didn't know which coffees she was delivering either. So we had to decide what the coffee was ourselves. Delivered a cappuccino and thought it was a hot chocolate.”
“I’ve only visited for coffee since the new owners started - coffee was fabulous, menu looks good and the new fit out is amazing.”
“Such a great day for it. Stunning views to relax and enjoy a meal and a cold beer. A popular little spot at brunch time on a Saturday. I had the Slow Cooked Pork Ribs with Salad and Fries. The meat fell off the bone and was succulent with a tasty lightly spiced sauce. They were delish! The fries were cooked in a really nice fresh oil and were very moreish. The salad was fresh with a lovely zingy dressing. My husband had the Fish and Chips. The fish was perfectly cooked. Again, the salad and fries were awesome too. Staff cleared the table quickly.”
“Shout out to the Barista (young guy with red hair) at Wild Bean Titahi Bay Rd. What an absolute ray of sunshine! I was actually having a dreadful time in the early days of a seperation, his personality somehow turned my mood around, what an asset. Always great coffee too.”
“Very relaxing cafe. Staff were very friendly. Service was quick, we barely sat down before they were bringing over our drinks and slice.”
“Beautiful eatery with polite staff and clean facilities. Food was splendid and well priced. In house dumplings were fantastic!”
