   The food was good and serving size was pretty generous. Wait times weren't too bad. The place isn't too big and we went just right after lunch so there were plenty of seats. If you have a car, you can find parking across the street.

   Tried the curry chee cheong fun and also the dried pan mee. Dried pan mee was not bad but the chee cheong fun we didn't like at all. Way too saucy and the curry was way too sweet and strong flavour which cause flavour fatigue. Dropped one star due to that. Had the wonton noodle with char siu. The wonton soup was good. But the star of the show is the noodles which was cooked perfectly in texture. The sauce that was used has the perfect balance of savoury and gentle sweetness. Only thing I think can be improved was the char siu. It needs to have more char and caramelisation. Otherwise a super yummy meal, the sauce and the pickled green chili was good too. Reasonably priced, so I can see why lots of people come here.

   The restaurant is close to lynnmall and New Lynn train station, about a 5 min walk. It is pretty average. The char kway teow is a bit sticky and soggy. The nasi lemak chicken was too soft and the sauce was very spicy. The price is not cheap. A very simple meal.

   First Time at Old Town Malaysia Café Tried the Wan Ton Mee, Wat Tan Hor, and Fried Carrot Cake. The food was delicious, with flavors that reminded me of classic Singaporean street food—simple, comforting, and full of nostalgia. Portions are just right for one person. A great spot if you’re craving traditional tastes in a cozy setting.

   Good food and good service. We ordered the sambal petai with prawns on rice, beef rendang on rice, Ning yong, yong tau foo, fish head noodle soup, pan mee and char kuey tiao. All were delicious and met our expectations. Char kuey tiao wad exceptionally good. Had to order a 2nd plate. The kids enjoyed the food with no complaints too. Everyone left with happy bellies.

   New mgmt who's eager to please. Been there only once so far, ordered the wat tan hor, it was okay - the fried pork lard bits were slightly burnt (I did feed this back to the female owner). Jury still out on this one, as the taste wasn't outstanding, the dish was pretty standard (Gold standard for wat tan hor is the Malaysian noodle house on Wolverton st); if I'm being really honest maybe even slightly underwhelming. Upon payment, I asked what their specialty would be, and the owner said "everything" which is overly optimistic .. and when pressed further, she did finally say "curry laksa" - so I'll give that a go next time.

   Very authentic Malaysian food. In typical Malaysian style decor is minimal although spotlessly clean. You come here for the food and these "Round Eyes" felt like we were traveling in SE Asia again. Owners are very friendly (again typical of the region) and service was attentive without being obtrusive. Menu is concise but covers lots of favourites. This food is made to be shared around the table, take a group and enjoy the variety of tastes
