“We arrived very late at night and still it was no problem to our wonderful hosts who waited up for us. It was a rainy and cold night and it was wonderful to arrive to our preheated quarters. The place was very clean and modern, great decor and art throughout. It was my first stay at a BnB but I would have to say this place would have to be considered at the top end of BnBs. We enjoyed our peaceful and uninterrupted stay. We are already planning our next stay. Thank you Brett and Sally for making your home ours as well. AAA+++”

“We stayed for two nights at the beautiful Awa Retreat, what a lovely place to stay, the hosts Cathy and Murray are so friendly it is like meeting old friends, the apartment is clean and tidy and has all the comforts of home, the breakfasts are beautiful and the wild bird life just outside the property is just delightful. The location right beside the Mighty Waikato River is perfect, a stroll along the walkway was very relaxing and we enjoyed seeing the native trees flourishing in this pretty spot. “I just had my little fur baby stay in the kennels with Petite Paws for the first time for 5 day’s. When I picked him up he was happy and clean. He also didn’t smell like he has when I’ve collected him from previous kennels he has gone to. It was nice to know he was with other fur friends his own size and able to be inside instead of outside over night. He is absolutely exhausted from his big weekend (which I love). Highly recommend this place for people with small dogs for both day care and overnight stays.”
