Their rice balls are the best $6.50 you could spend and the yummiest rice balls I’ve had outside Japan. I keep meaning to eat in here, because the recommendations from reviews that mention its unpretentiousness and amazing taste.. Such kind and generous owners, too, . We will keep coming back!
I thought it important to share again - this insanely unassuming Japanese delight in Dunedin is low on pretence and high on flavour and value. Still staggers me that I’m a Friday night it is basically empty. No online ordering and you will have to refer to the pictures if you want to ring ahead. Lovely, lovely people and delicious food. Teriyaki salmon is delicious and very generous.

Don’t be fooled by the humble exterior. The food is delicious, affordable and the portions are large. Really kind staff and very short wait for food. 10/10 recommend!

Ordered Teriyaki Chicken Don with Vegetable. Not the best authentic Japanese food (feel more like Chinese food) but it is still tasty, generous portion for its price. Will still return and recommend!
