I cannot recommend this ED. Unless you are in an absolute life-threatening situation, you'll be looking at waiting 6-12 hours (usually) to see a nurse, and probably longer for a GP. Go to Urgent Doctors on a Friday or Saturday night because ED usually is the busiest on those nights and you will, without a doubt, be waiting all night. While I have always been immediately medically treated (due to mental health reasons), I still feel saddened that elderly and other people are left waiting in the waiting room or lying in beds in the hallway. At one point I was nearly ready to shout for a doctor while I witnessed a young man in a bed in a hidden spot in the corridor have a seizure for 5ish seconds, with him only being noticed by making sounds during the seizure. This new hospital better have a premium ED because the current hospital is really lacking. Worst hospital I've ever been in and I've been in hospitals all across the country.

Friendly staff, esp Hank and the nurses on Thursday until 10ish. It's an ED, you'll have to wait. But if you understand that and are patient it's fine. Dr Alex was efficient and helpful when he got around to me. I was admitted after 9pm and released before 4am.

Worst experience ever Iβd rather bleed out than waste another second here for help that isnβt going to come. Wait times of up to 10 hours and staff definitely wonβt give you updates or inform you of whatβs going on. I have a burst ear drum. Sat there for 6 hours. After 4 and a half hours they gave me Panadol and checked my heart rate. After another hour and a half of waiting I seriously doubted the competence of the leisurely and relaxed staff. Man next to me was shaking and shivering from withdrawals explaining to staff that he was going to die but the staff brushed him off and told him to keep waiting. This place is a joke.

Absolute worst experience I've ever had. Absolutely shocking, and regularly breaching patients rights. Disgusting. After further hospital visits, the staff were better than they were the previous times. Unfortunately, if nothing comes up in the tests or x-rays performed, then you will be discharged. Personally, it concerns me further when I have clear, ongoing complications where the problem can not be identified. I had been told that they can not identify what is happening until the complications become bad enough that they then become detectable in their testing (at which point it seems, depending on the cause of the problem, may be too late to treat by that point).

Nurses themselves were lovely, but clearly understaffed. We waited for an hour without given any medication - I had to ask multiple times for a simple pain relief even though my friend was in visible pain. Just hours waiting in the waiting room without any action, spent 4+ hours just to see the Dr. Respectfully please hire more people.

The waiting time is very long, and the doctor inside is very rude, especially a male doctor with a bad attitude.

Apparently being on the ground struggling to breathe isint enough to get a doctor to see you within 10 hours... And apparently chest pain 9/10 isint enough to be seen for 9 hours...

Well and truly looked after in the last couple of days by the ED staff. I was checked on often and informed about wait times ect which I appreciated. Offered refreshments while waiting too. Very good care and very friendly staff. Thankyou

Terrible experiences every time. Staff are uncaring and rude, showing very little to no urgency. Bit of a joke tbh. Waited over 5 hrs then had to leave without even getting the chance to have my injury looked at.

Absolutely terrible, nurses walk by not concerned seems like urgency isnβt a thing there. Waited 5 hours just to not get seen in the EMERGENCY department. Terrible
