   Stayed at Henry Matthews’ apartment in Dunedin while on a work trip with a colleague. Apartment manager provided excellent instructions, making check-in and finding everything very easy. The apartment has free onsite parking and is in a fantastic central location—within walking distance to the Octagon and the hospital. Inside, it’s spacious and well-appointed, with two bathrooms (each with a shower) and two bedrooms featuring comfortable king-size beds. Overall, a lovely place to stay. I would definitely return and highly recommend it!

   Can't rave enough about this place. Booking was a dream with Dan and Andrew and instructions were clear and concise. The apartment (Henry Matthews) was amazing - we loved our stay so much. It is high end without being stuffy and so comfortable - the seating, the beds - just fabulous. Location is unbeatable - out the front door and you are 5 minutes to anywhere you'd want to be. We stayed for our son's grad and enjoyed a flawless dinner at one of the 'vaults' at the Distinction Hotel - all in all an incredible weekend and we would never stay anywhere else in Dunedin. Highly recommend!

   1. Excellent location with First Church and vast courtyard just before the wide open windows. Retaurants, bars, stores are all within short walks. And, free parking. 2. Elegant, cozy, beautifully designed and decorated rooms make you feel at your own home. And all rooms are very clean. 3. Very considerable provisions of basic ingredients for making your own breakfast, coffee, teas and even a welcome wine. Definitely recommend to everyone plans to stay in Dunedin

   For me, this apartment is one of the 5 best I have ever stayed in. It beats any hotel I've seen in Cannes, Dubai, London or Barcelona. And for three reasons: 1. the architect really had an eye for technical details. Dimmable LED lights, glare-free staircase lighting, night lights in the bathrooms that switch on automatically and fly screens in front of the windows. Hallelujah! That should become ISO standard. I've stayed in brand new hotel rooms where there wasn't even a power socket next to the bed! 2. the great storytelling about the room (we were in the Gaynor Clayton Apartment). The artist was a former tenant, the brushes and her paint box. Her daily routine and her red hat hanging in the dressing room. How cool! 3. the attention and respect for us as guests. When we entered the room, soft relaxing music was playing (we loved it so much that it was on for a couple of hours), the rooms were aired. Fresh eggs, jam and honey in the fridge and toast. Not much, but great value for us travellers!

   We had the most wonderful, welcoming stay in one of these unique apartments, the Henry Mathew's suite. The big round window that opens the balcony onto a wonderful array of shapes and perspectives at the back of Dunedin inner city businesses absolutely delighted me. Sparkling clean, modern, comfortable accommodation, yet, thanks to the tasteful decor, the apartment maintains a very real sense of its historical beginnings. Beds were incredibly comfortable, set upstairs on a mezzanine floor. Underfloor heating and a large ceiling fan allowed for a perfect temperature. Private quiet and right in the heart of the city, l will stay there again in a heartbeat.
