My food choice had avocado in it with peas - absolutely yummy. The wine was ambrosial! Servings are not huge which we appreciated but the flavours and textures were just succulent!”

“Excellent food with OK service. Kitchen is typically very busy at lunch time so be prepared to wait a little longer than most cafes but the wait is worth it. Coffee is excellent and service for coffee is quick. Recommend the cooked meals and range of slices available. I would eat here every couple of months that I visit Rangiora and it never disappoints. Parking is typically good but heaps of extra on the road.”

“Three of us had lovely meals. I had seafood selection and matched the wine (by fluke) to kopiko Bay pinot gris and it was perfect. Another had steak cooked to perfection with mushroom sauce and salad and chips. Hubby had pork ribs. Definetly recommend a visit.”

“Went to the Cust Country Pub for dinner last night with some friends. Had a lovely time. The staff were all very welcoming, friendly and efficient. Nothing was a bother for them. The food was great, from the entrees to the desserts. I had the fish and chips which was served with yummy chips and a lovely green salad and was unfortunately more than I could eat ( and believe me I tried). I would recommend this pub to anyone who wants a reasonably priced good meal in a comfortable friendly atmosphere. Well done to the staff and management.”

“First time coming here after craving Italian, best to book as its not a big place and fills up quick, got lucky calling 10 minutes ahead for a table for 2. Staff are wonderful, cheerful and happy to help, orders are taken quicken and plates cleared efficiently. It can be a bit of a wait for mains as theyre cooked fresh but worth the wait. Everything on the menu looks good and theres a big drink selection too. 10/10!”

“This is my go to Cafe and is just around the corner from work. Great place to have a hot drink and grab a bite to eat, and I love the different options they offer. The setup is great and I use it to catchup with my clients over a drink. The service is amazing and Angeline is always lovely and welcoming.”

Products are of great quality, wide range and selection, and very convenient, especially the FREE fish and meat cutting service they offer! Hats off. They go out of their way to help customers out, in two occasions I have experienced myself! Very reasonable (if not the cheapest in town in a lot of products) and conveniently priced items. Very quickly they have become one of the favourite shopping destinations of I and my family. Their curry piece goat meat and whole chicken curry cut packs are the absolute trophy items, as well as the best priced largest mud crabs I have ever seen! Try for yourself and become a fan. “We had booked a table for dinner incase it was busy there being a Saturday night, pleased we did as it was a very popular place to be. Wait staff were prompt and friendly, helpful with questions and offered great service. The food was delicious. Salt and Pepper Squid entree was excellent and my rib eye steak was cooked to perfection. Thoroughly enjoyed our night here and would definitely eat here again.”

“A welcoming café with friendly staff. The food was delicious and my coffee was perfect - yay, a place that didn't turn a flat white into a latte. Enjoyed the food and experience enough to come back again today. I recommend the chia banana bread (traditional banana bread flavour without the heaviness) and the smokey ham sandwiches are delicious.”
