i like toast, most white bread is average, but i found the best white toast bread ever......its new world in store freshly baked bread, extra thick sliced bread.......it makes the best toast ...try it!
Usually a good place, but with more options opening, they need to find the niche that will make them stand out and they are failing. An example is that bakery have recently changed recipes. And not for the better. Their store-made Afghans (a favorite treat) have gone from traditional icing sugar icing to the tasteless plastic-y ganash that everyone else uses. We won't buy them again. Upside, in the interest of fairness, their new fancy cinnabuns are good.
Lovely clean place. The staff are nice and friendly. The prices are a bit higher than other supermarkets. For instance the vegetables were more expensive, but the freshness I find is better at New World.
Ethan Dunsmore might be the best staff in the world. He always makes my day better and knows his way around the store.
Tidy store, friendly staff, good range of products and well maintained store. Pricing is high and in general in New Zealand. New Zealand products are also priced higher. I wonder what they do with the expired products and food wastage. Pricing could be lower on many products and there is a huge difference from the prices in North Island. The staff here is amazing!
They go above and beyond. I dropped some cash a couple weekends ago and Margaret managed to track me down. Amazing customer service!
Giving 5 stars for there lotto shop just beacuse you get a second chance for re draw not sure About the price but hey second chance is good For not throwing away ya lotto ticket plus I like the location just by the entrance of the shop u can’t miss it…

Best of the New Worlds in Christchurch. Super fresh fruit and vegetables and great meat selection. Tidy store and friendly staff.
