Kin Kin keeps things pan‑Asian comfort and focused on flavour. Portions are generous yet well judged. Front‑of‑house runs with calm, helpful energy. Stir‑fries keep good heat and snap. Wait times are contained even when busy.
Spent a ton of money through Uber as a big treat for the house. The good: the braised pork belly was delicious. That's pretty much where it ended. The red curry had very little spice. As did the massaman curry. The pad see ew was cold. And to my dismay, my favourite dish of tom kah was terribly salty and I couldn't eat it. Quite disappointing.
Ordered with uber eats. They claim the pad Thai was gf and I ordered with chicken but then found fried tofu in my dish despite putting gluten as an allergen with my order. Took me 10 mins to get an answer on whether it was safe to eat on the phone only to find out the tofu is not gf and had contaminated my meal. Majorly concerning, I don’t recommend to anyone with an allergy or coeliac disease. Hungry and disappointed.
Ordered from uber. Got the green curry too sweet for me and i have to put salt to it. Also the puff, tooo sweet. The pad see ew is truely terrible and im so sorry for the word but its true! Too burnt and I can see lots of burnt chips from the noodles, have added the tofu and its also burnt :( you can see in the photo where all small black burnt chip is not for you to eat. I can tell when i open the container, i smell burnt noodles but still tried to eat it if its just the smell but it just taste sweet burnt. And if you reply to my review today, I can still keep the food in the fridge for you to try it if you said its not burnt. This is not edible. So sorry. I think only The cashew fried rice is okay.
Uber delivery. Absolutely delicious food. The fried rice was packed full of veges and meat and was sooooo tasty!!! The wontons are not really your typical wontons - in saying that, they were phenomenal!! Filled with a huge amount of delicious meat and tasted so good! I gave one to my husband who was also surprised with how much meat filling it had. I’m excited to try more dishes from Kin Kin. Thankyou for actually making good, delicious food that doesn’t seem “watered” down in flavour or lacking anything. DEFINITELY order again.
Highly recommend restaurant in Christchurch!! Food was so fresh, delicious and great quality, I love pad thai and Bangkok cashew nut chicken. Also restaurant was very clean, friendly staff and service was very fast. Definitely be back❤️
LOVE Kinkin. I started ordering them from Uber Eats about 5 months ago, and haven't stopped! Sometimes we order direct and pick up in store too. All of the food is excellent quality and great flavour. My favourites are honey lemon chicken, roti and peanut sauce, peanut sauce noodles, and curry puffs. Whatever I try never disappoints. Always very quick to prepare too. So pleased to have this lil local eatery in my neighbourhood!
Using Uber eats, the food (two different meals) looks nothing like I ordered, not a full meal, sauce was very watered down and tastes too sweet which wasn't described in the ingredients and came to us cold even when I ordered an hour I'm advance with a set time.
Finally made it to this cute wee gem! The people here are lovely and kind. The food is just as great! Great portions. Great flavour (we ordered 3meals and 1 entire) all had their own unique flavours which i am absolutely happy about. Kung Pao Chicken -nice little spice to it(tho I am a total spice freak lol) great tasty selection of veges Drunken noodles -noodles nicely cooked, good amount of chicken Honey Lemon chicken - favourite part was that the nice crispy chicken wasn’t drowning in sauce. The sauce wasnt over powering. Salad was fresh. All of it was really good. Curry puffs - fluffy, smooth and packed. Thank you heaps! Will definitely be back.
We are SO glad we found this place. We have only tried it on Uber Eats. We have tried around 4 Thai places on Uber and have been disappointed in all of them until now. Kin Kin is very clean food, very tasty and consistent. So far we have had the spring rolls, sweet and sour , satay, combo fried rice. All are very tasty. We are looking forward to trying other meals now that we know they are good! Thank you so much, please keep up the great quality
