   They make their own chips using a machine, but do not expect them to pick up the phone. Two times I have rung during opening hours, about 10 times, and my wife then was told better luck ordering online. I wouldnt trust that process either if these young men refuse to answer the phone. Also no fresh fish, or garlic chips. They are open and the food is good, but expect to have to go in. In this country not picking up the phone at a fish chip shop is a sin, as is no garlic chips. Attached is one example or phone ring out.. I recommend their food but expect to order in person or, trust doing it online. Good open times. Good chips.

   We purchased 2 burgers and chips tonight. We very disappointed chips were like the had been through a second heating and not nice. Also my steak and mushroom and egg burger had no mushrooms and no egg the other one was an egg cheese and pineapple burger with no egg but had bacon. was not nice at all. Paid over $25. and ended up in the rubbish bin. Will not be going back

   Lovely food (got fish and chips and corn nuggets). Very busy little place but they do well to keep the wait time down! Limited seating inside to wait but you can order online or via the phone too which would help with the wait time.

   Great service. Enjoyed the food. Loved my cheeseburger :) went last thing on a Sunday and our meal was a decent size and the staff friendly even 10mins before close. Will be coming back.

   Crumbled fish here is good but the chips are superb. Have tried dozens of f&c places in Christchurch but no joy, either too greasy or soggy. Ohoka Road chips remind me of earlier days before fast food saturation outlets & the time saving pre-cooking, ie. when real fresh potatoes were deep fried and drained. Doubt you'll find better.

   Went around 8pm and the store was pretty much empty, store is manned by 1 person but service was quite fast.Only takeout option available. Loved the Onion rings. Slightly large servings of fish and chips, worth the price. Need to ease off on the salt though.

   The fish and chips here are great! They have some of the nicest chips in Kaiapoi. They are very well priced also. Ohoka Road Fish Supply have recently become mine and my partners new favorite fish and chip shop. Last night I tried the bacon burger which was absolutely delicious! The staff are all super friendly even though they are always very busy. There can be a bit of a wait here as you can expect with any great fish n chip shop but its definitely worth it to try the great food.
