“I don’t think I’ve ever eaten this much before! It was so delicious, highly recommend. I also wanted to make a point of the customer service that was greatly appreciated, we had a small miscommunication in the beginning as it was our first time here, but our waitress was gracious and helpful.”

“We were seated promptly and given food and drink menus. Both of us opted for the beef fillet, one rare and the other medium rare. They were done to perfection, melted in your mouth and were tasty. The accompanying vegetables were also first rate. There was a good wine list , although not all were available by the glass. My glass of Cabernet Sauvignon was a standout. We thought the atmosphere and service were great and would we would return here to eat.”

“I had a great experience at this restaurant the other day. The interior is both elegant and inviting, creating a sophisticated ambiance. We visited for lunch as a group of 8 including locals who are regulars here. Many of us opted for the highly recommended their “Chefs pie”: Beef & Ale Pie, a generous portion of flaky pastry filled with savory beef,buttery cabbage, creamy mashed potatoes, and rich gravy. It was a delicious and satisfying choice. The other dishes ordered by our group were equally well-received. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome. We'll definitely be returning to this wonderful restaurant.”

“This cafe is absolutely gorgeous! The outdoor seating area is such a treat – you even get a free concert from the local birds! “Popped in this cafe after a long time away from Christchurch. The ownership changed. So did the Italian atmosphere and the furniture looks a bit tired. But the coffee is still good and they have a good and varied selection of cabinet food. Service is impeccable and super friendly.”

“Loved heading there today on a drizzly day following a three day tramp at Island Hills Station. Great variety of pools of different temperatures, and although extremely busy, there was plenty of space for everyone. Pretty expensive entry prices, so have to go for a whole day if taking the family. Discounted entry price for AA members.”

No menu items available by the time I get there but even their cupboard food and definitely their coffee provide such comfort and happiness. “What a top notch place for burgers and nachos hidden gem in Christchurch. There burger size are super big not like other shops serving small burger. Real Food is when it’s cooked properly with time and it taste yummy . They made meat of chips on my special request which was mind blowing chips were so crispy and meat was full of flavours. 10 out of 10 for the lovely food and the service:)”

“Really, really nice food. Beautiful gourmet salads, toasted sandwiches and other cabinet food. Their mini gourmet pizzas are so good. Staff are lovely, and we're very helpful when I asked about allergens. The baker came out to me about the ingredients. They have a lovely range of sweet treats (the almond orange cake is epic) and a good range of vegan treats too (including peanut butter cups and kumara chocolate brownie - both amazing) There's a tablet with an app open to verify your (free) parking you can park without trouble for 2 hours. It's also very convenient, because after visiting the cafe, you can browse the connected green grocer for fresh veggies and fruit!”
