Maddison Eatery keeps things coffee‑and‑cabinet and focused on flavour. Sweets lean classic and not overly rich. Breakfast plates are tidy and satisfying. Service stays present without fuss. Wait times are contained even when busy.
A superbly crafted cappuccino an absolute joy to drink. Very pleasant staff. Nice sheltered outdoor area and light physical activity available for all ages. Only downside of my experience, was no cabinet food.
Lovely breakfast had by us 2.. Awesome service by our favorite hostess Mel...so sad to know you are leaving our local café though...will miss you for sure...good luck anyhow with whanau,. summer and future plans.... We will be back to enjoy good coffee and great food..
Eggs Bene done very well. Perfectly poached eggs on a flattened croissant. Well seasoned, everything tastes just right. Loved the sides too - homemade baked beans and mushrooms. Lovely and thoughtful service. Very clean and comfortable space to be in. Tables are well spaced out.

We had an amazing anniversary dinner at Maddison Eatery! The bruschetta was incredibly fresh, and the calamari was to die for—the dip and sliced chillies were a perfect touch. For the main course, the charcoal chargrilled chicken was a great choice, and the bone-in ribeye was cooked to perfection, with the roasted bone marrow adding a rich, indulgent element. Desserts were just as impressive—the chocolate brownie was amazing, the pecan pie with whiskey liqueur was beautifully paired, and you can never go wrong with a classic apple crumble with warm sauce. Overall, fantastic food, great value for money, and a wonderful dining experience. Highly recommend!
Second time here and again enjoyed the food and service…the eggs Benedict hollandaise sauce was a touch too much on the vinegary side for me but not so bad that I didn’t enjoy the breakfast…the smashed potatoes were delicious
We worked with Mon & Jay to host our Wedding Celebrations. Jay and his team curated an exceptional food menu to meet our requirements that our family & friends still talk about two months on! Maddison Eatery have an attentive team and such a beautiful venue. We highly reccommend contacting them for your own private function or just popping in for a delicious meal. We went for Mothers Day Breakfast. Loved everything from the friendly welcome, gorgeous decor, amazing coffee (best I've had since moving here 6 months ago) and truly delicious meals. We had the Classic, French Toast, Eggs Bene and Pancakes...everyone raved about the food. Kids enjoyed playing Chess while we waited for food too. We will be back!!
The only downside was the iced chocolate - if you're in the mood for a nice cold glass of blue top milk with a garnish of milo then by all means, otherwise I would steer clear of that particular choice of beverage. With that aside, the food was great and the waitresses were really friendly and provided some great service. Would recommend for sure.
