A quintessential Kiwi pub! This place has got everything you want, a reasonably priced pub grub menu, pool table, bottle store, beer garden, function room (no accommodation), good range of tap beers and top locals for a good old chinwag. Well worth a trip north out of Christchurch for some solid Southern Hospitality.
Best pub in the area by a country mile!
Hi usually come to the Anglers Arms once a month for some chips and a cider which we enjoy, unfortunately yesterday the chips were overcooked and dry plus we had a long wait for them, plus cud you buy some fly spray for the fly around the kitchen. Otherwise great old charm atmosphere Thanks
A good homely rural/country pub. Can see why people come here. Genuine. The prices beat the city by a long shot. I had lunch with a soda. $11 total cost. The burger was great. The meat patty was thick and juicy. Salad was fresh and included beetroot. Bottle shop onsite and also a takeaway fish n chip menu. This was recommended to me and I am happy to pass on the recommendation.
A wonderful country pub so well patronised with very reasonable beer and food prices. Food wasn't required on that occasion.

Have been many times on the way home from Rangiora. Very old fashioned but friendly. Food and drinks were cheap compared with other pubs.
Amazing country pub. Drinks are very reasonable and the meals are huge and fairly priced. Jukebox,pool table and an amazing beer garden. This is your traditional Kiwi pub experience.
I came here for lunch recently whilst passing through Sefton recently. The food menu was comprehensive and very reasonably priced. I purchased a toasted sandwich and chips for $6. The beer (as always) went down a treat too. It's a nice pub and the staff were friendly. Would stop here again if passing through.
