A beautiful spot for a sweet treat and cuppa (you can even bring your dog for a special doggie friendly gelato!). Tea serving size is generous. Staff are lovely. Highly recommend.
Worth detouring off the main road for!! 100/10!! Best Gelato I have tasted - I had coconut icecream with caramel nuts & the lemon meringue which was incredible. So good I stopped off on my way back to Christchurch for Passionfruit cheesecake flavour. All Are natural flavours and made by the owners, who were so friendly and Chilean so I practiced some Spanish and felt so welcome.
Amazing place with amazing people. The staff is super friendly and are always ready to help with good suggestions. And the looks... oh my goodness! It's so cool! The place has this chilling vibe, with a great selection of songs, plants, the swings in the downstairs seating area, the upstairs area. The outside area is also great if you have your pet and want to spend some time having some ice cream or eating some pastries and bakery goods, which are delicious by the way. Kids love the place for the little ones with all the colorful drawings of ice cream on the wall. The tops and the space couldn't be more entertaining. We loved it! The ice cream flavors are incredible. So delicious and with a smooth texture. What I really like is that Helado is very inclusive, having dairy free, vegan sorbet and ice creams for all tastes. Also try their brunch menu. You can't go wrong with anything there. The food is delicious
Absolutely delicious ice cream and the kids loved the swings. Best espresso ice cream I've tried, the mint was a natural taste without being sickly, and the only problem with the pav one was I was too late and didn't get the best bits. Need to go back and try again.
Best coffee, best pastries and gelato! Best gluten free cafe food! Itβs all delicious and they make it all on site! Amazing! My second time visiting 10/10
I must say, Helado Gelato has truly exceeded my expectations when it comes to ice cream! Having tried various ice cream shops across different towns like Queenstown, Akaroa, Lyttleton, Christchurch, and more, I can confidently say that the ice cream from this cafe takes the crown. The flavors I sampled, including yogurt blueberry, pistachio, dulce de leche, and coffee, were all exceptional. Each scoop was incredibly creamy, bursting with real fruit flavors, and downright delicious. I'm already dreaming about my next visit to Helado Gelato, and I hope we have something equally amazing back in Manila. Highly recommended for all ice cream lovers out there!
Holy $#!Ο this place is delicious. I got Lincoln's Apple Frenchie and if you could put paradise on a plate, this is it. Very friendly staff, fun design of the place (my toddler liked the swings and stairs. Highly highly recommend for both meals or snacks. Good for my wife's gluten and dairy free stuff I'd have taken a picture of my meal but it got inhaled.
