“I have tried so many places to find the best dumplings in Auckland and I found them here! The pan fried chicken and chives dumplings are so good, it pairs very well with their house made chili oil. We’ve also had their yang chow rice and fried pork and pineapple with sweet and sour sauce - taste, portion, price = 10/10! Have been twice and so far the quality’s consistent. Happy to have listened to others’ great feedback about Mr. Zhou’s.”

“The server was very nice, and the overall atmosphere and decor of the place was more business-y than just relaxing. I felt like the music was on the louder side as well. The eggs benedict was delicious (the hash brown was SO crunchy, and I could cut it with my knife as well), and the matcha latte was alright, though it was more on the sweeter side than I would've liked. The food was on the pricier side (which was to be expected in CBD). I'd recommend going with colleagues or friends/dates that prefer more middle to high-end looking cafes. There were lots of space, but most tables were suited for 2 people.”

“I first came across this kebab shop when I was staying close by in the area and ordered a chicken kebab on rice. It was so great that I have had it several times since and every time it is consistent. The meat is favoured really well, the sauces are good hot chilli sauce it hot but doesn’t build in heat). The salads are prepared with care and are thinly shredded. The hummus is smooth and creamy. The people are very friendly. Thank you for another amazing experience! :)”

All staff I dealt with were incredibly helpful and accommodating as we had a few unknowns leading up to the day, and everything went smoothly at their end. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was great. Wonderful way for us to end the year. Definitely recommend if you're looking to have a function.”

“Have lunch quite regularly here at Burgerfuel Westgate. Foods always good. Really impressed with a young staff member today, missed his name, but pretty identifiable with mullet and moustache lol. Great attitude and customer service, which sadly you don't get everyday in the hospitality industry - give him a pay rise! :)”

“Ordered a Baked Strawberry Cheesecake recently for a birthday party from Kneads and it was amazing! Communication with the ordering was quick and efficient, the cake was beautifully done as requested and everyone loved it. The fresh strawberries on top were definitely a bonus. They had a list of different options for cakes that can be made according to preference. Would definitely be ordering my Christmas cakes and birthday cakes from them again. Thanks! ☺️”

“The very best pizza place around locally. I really look forward to a nice and hot Hawaiian pizza on the odd Sunday special. Loads of toppings and a crunchy base that is delicious. I usually buy a nice and cold can or two to go with it but I only drink one then. The place is kept clean and the service is as good as the pizzas. I highly recommend this little business and owners. “I’ve been here multiple times now, and every visit has been consistently great. The staff are absolutely amazing—genuinely no notes at all. They’re always friendly, quick, helpful, and understanding. On my most recent visit, one of the team was especially lovely and gave us two sauces when usually you’d only get one—such a small gesture, but it really stood out and added to the positive experience. The food here is delicious. No matter what I’ve ordered, it’s always been fresh, well-prepared, and really tasty. The chips, in particular, are always seasoned perfectly—crispy, golden, and full of flavour. One of the things I appreciate most is how fast the food comes out. Even during the busiest lunch rushes, I’ve never had to wait more than about 15 minutes. It’s clear the kitchen is efficient. Pricing is definitely something to note—it’s not that cheap. You’re looking at $20 or more for a proper meal, but I do think the quality and service make it worth it, especially given how reliable the whole experience is. All in all, it’s a place I’m happy to keep coming back to. Great food, excellent service, and a wonderful team.”

Chocolate cake was a generous serving, moist, and came with a dollop of sprinkle-topped cream :) And the chai was the best I've had at a cafe within memory - not too sweet, and strong flavour. Cafe was quiet but had nice seating area - Highly recommend”
