“This was a fantastic dinner! My wife and I chose this restaurant for our final evening in New Zealand, and it was the perfect way to end an epic trip. We started with drinks. I had a beer that was huge, and my wife ordered a chili margarita, which she loved. We both had the ribeye steak, cooked to perfection, with delicious sides. We also shared oysters, which were incredibly fresh and full of flavor. The service was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and genuinely engaging. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an excellent meal in Auckland.”

“This is one of the best restaurants in Auckland for sure, this restaurant serves flavourful cuisines and the taste is very unique. I really liked the sambal sauce they served on the side and it’s good if they have it to purchase for a lower price as they have it for $20. I would definitely go back.”

“Little Jimmy exceeded expectations. It was pretty busy on a Saturday lunchtime but it was surprisingly quiet and comfortable. Service was friendly and extremely quick. Great menu, and the food was lovely. I ordered the chicken schnitzel and couldn't fault any aspect of it. Good wine list and excellent coffee.”

“Delicious lunch at Biskit Cafe & Kitchen today. Service was good, food was served promptly, and staff were very friendly. Seems to be a favourite as the store was packed even on a weekday. As for the food, everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared. Portions were great. We had the Thai chicken salad, Seoul beef burger, and fettuccine. Overall, it was a delightful experience. Would definitely be coming back in the future. Would recommend if you're in the area.”

“Had lunch here over the weekend with our two little boys, the staff are so friendly, went out of their way to help us move when it started raining and super friendly to us and our boys. If you're unfortunate enough to start at the nearby Novotel, ignore their wretched restaurant and take a 15 minute walk to Green Lane Gastro Pub. Well worth it. My meal was lovely and every other plate I saw going out looked great.”

“I love this place! I was in Auckland for a 3 week time period and visited this restaurant on three different occasions. The staff is nice and the food comes to the table in a timely manner. The yogurt soju cocktail is a great option to share with friends. The King's Katsu menu item was my personal favorite and is great with either sauce option. It is also in a very good location in the CBD of Auckland and offers a place to eat during a day of exploring the city. Highly recommend it.”

“High streets best kept secret! Visit on a sunny day for a beautiful outdoor escape or a rainy one for a cozy coffee (the heaters / cover work wonders). Coffee and service is always 10/10, and the Bacon Benedict is always hits the spot. Love that they also support local businesses as well. Definitely visit if you’re looking for a cheap and cheerful brunch spot in the CBD.”

“This is our second timing dining at The Oyster Inn... and it once again did not disappoint! Our meals were amazing around the table... I was recommended the crudo and it was absolutely beautiful... followed by the Crayfish Linguine which was also fab! Around the table our group was super happy with all our meals and the drinks were pretty good too! But deserving of special mention, and I feel terrible for not catching his name, was our lovely Italian waiter. He honestly made it feel like we were dining with a friend as he was so helpful, fun and attentive! What an asset he is... thank you so much for a great evening!”

“We visited on a sunny Sunday afternoon and the vibe was great. A live band was playing good tunes, not so loud that you couldn't enjoy a good yarn with your mates, and the staff were courteous and friendly. We arrived when it was very busy so the wait time for a cooked meal from the menu was an hour so keep that in mind if visiting when busy. Thoroughly enjoyed our time here and look forward to stopping in again over summer.”

“After a refurbishment and challenging times due to never ending road works, Ambler reopened recently, much to the delight of the neighbourhood. Dishes have never disappointed whenever we’ve been, and we’ve gone through the whole menu, breakfast, lunch and dinner. The chefs know their flavours, cook time and combinations. Yum, yum, and yum!”

“Tasty Cafe & Bakery in Avondale is a popular eatery that I've often visited in the last few years. The overall impression I get is that this is a great place to buy food from or dine in with family and friends. The array of pies the bakery creates is unique and never disappoints! I went for the new Cambodian fish curry pie and hot chips and it was a great combo! The pie pastry is always on point, the curry flavour infused with lemongrass (I think) is unique and flavoursome and the hoki fish melts in your mouth! Also the hot chips were crispy and tasty! Great pie and hot chips and I'll be back again for more!”
