“Awesome food, we had the chicken stack and French toast both were well priced and super tasty. One of the best cafes on the shore. Awesome vegan and vege options and offer a discount if you bring your own cup for takeaways. Decor was slightly aged and could do with a bit of a tickle up but had a nice homely feel and staff were friendly. Will definitely be back.”

“THIS PLACE! I flew in on Auckland and by accident stumbled on this little gem. I never had carrot cake... Needless to say it was DELICIOUS. Homemade, owner bakes it himself. The atmosphere is also wonderfull. I went around NZ after this first cake... Never had the same taste in my mouth again! Until I visited back when I had to leave NZ... Each bite is perfect! Staff is soo friendly and genuine trying to build something nice up. It's a pity a lot of old reviews are bringing this score down (it was the previous owner), because it deserves a freaking big score ❤️ It is a small caffee, so expect when it's busy some waiting time to get in.”

“I’m amazed! Such beautiful dishes and they are delicious as well. Not to mention averagely priced for being much nicer and visually enthralling than in most places. Highly recommend this place, specifically the creamy mushroom rostis and the fluffy pancakes (have never eaten something so fluffy). The macchiato coffee and iced chocolate with almond milk were great as well. Free water, which is great. Nice place, chill atmosphere, friendly service. Very happy to have gone here! Will come again, especially for special occasions.”

“I can't believe I haven't been here before as I live just down the road. Last time I was in here it was still Conch Records... Ate there for the first time with a friend who works in hospo and we were both super impressed with the tacos. Good craft beer, lots of options and (for Ponsonby) not too devastatingly expensive. Will definitely be back.”

“Very busy restaurant, we went around 7:30 and it’s nearly full house on a Wednesday night. Food was great and authentic as usual. You have a lot to choose from on their menu. Portion size is great, I won’t say it’s pricey.”

“Oh my! What a gastronomic experience ❤️ He had sweet and sour chicken and rice and I had sunshine (can’t remember exactly the name) pork and rice. Condiments included garlic vinegar, and two types of chillies sauce. Generous portions that are filling. My second time here and his first. He was impressed! It’s a small place, in the middle of Birkenhead. Easy to get to by car or bus (from the city) with plenty of parking. You simply have to come experience authentic Vietnamese cuisine! So delicious. ❤️”

“Man can never go wrong with Vietnamese food. I rate this restaurant a 10/10 for food alone and same rating for service and atmosphere. I picked up takeaway food it was ready within 10 minutes (I ordered over the phone). The service I was given was wonderful and the food along with it made the experience beautiful. Thank you for your wonderful food I didn’t get home to eat for another 20minutes because I had to stop by somewhere else and when i ate it it was still really warm. Just wondering- do you do big platters? I have an event coming up so I’m wanting to know.”
