   Popped in on a Sunday evening, was nice and quiet, very friendly service and great food, we started with squid tentacles to share, then my wife had Tonkasu Ramen, kid had Chicken Katsu, and I had one of the current specials the NZ caught Bluefin Tuna Katsu. All super tasty, the Tuna was melt in the mouth good, I had to really hold myself back to not eat it too fast and enjoy it. Great range of side dishes of pickles, sauces, miso, rice, horseradish and wasabi with the meals. Would recommend this place for sure!

   Food was too good I didn't get a chance to take a photo of our full meal. But I can say this, hand on my heart, this was an experience, a meal, an atmosphere we will NEVER forget, for all the right reasons. Authentic Japanese cuisine, relaxed atmosphere, and great service. The perfect recipe for date night or even just to come have one of their massive jugs of Orion with a mate. Highly recommend and wish them nothing but the best for their future. Absolutely delicious!

   The ramen wasn’t really my favorite, but the katsu pork was delicious and definitely worth trying. Staff were lovely, and it’s a cozy spot overall — just make sure you don’t miss the katsu!

   Shoyu ramen: broth is quite weak - the stock probably needs some work. Chashu was tender and flavourful but didn't quite fit in with the rest. Would have liked to see the extra step taken to shape it properly rather than leaving it rectangular. Egg was simply hard-boiled, rather than marinated and with liquidy yolk as is common. It was also cold. Noodles were not quite as chewy as I'd like ramen to be. 4/10. Takoyaki - heated from frozen. My first one was still ice cold in the center. The rest seemed to have been heated more evenly. Outer shell was nice and crispy but the dough was nearly liquid. Very little squid. 2/10.

   Great little neighbourhood Ramen restaurant, came here a few times, food standard and services consistently very good. Very well priced for Mt Eden. The highlights for me always are some ramen you can choose up to 4 levels of spiciness, short waiting time and really fresh, delicious appetisers.

   What we ordered: Cherry and pomegranate soda $5.5 Shoyu ramen $19 + Gyoza Karaage chicken Takoyaki (I don't remember how much any of these cost) I ordered the shoyu ramen and the noodles were bouncy and delicious. The broth was really nice and savoury but I would still recommend you douse it in garlic and sesame cause it just makes everything better. The pork was also very thick cut and tender, which I loved. I also tried a little bit of the chicken from someone else's ramen but it was very juicy and not dry at all so yay!! The gyoza were delicious, the karaage chicken was super crunchy and still juicy on the outside and the takoyaki never fails. My only real complaints were that the egg was a bit cold and I wasn't a huge fan of the drinks. The food is amazing, the drinks are not (except for the calpico soda which is incredible)
