We popped in for an afternoon pie time to try out the bakery’s award winning pies. Tried the classic mince and cheese and potato top pies and they were delicious! Will be back to try their other Pie Award winning pies. The prices are reasonable given how they have fared at the Pie Awards. There’s limited seating at the venue.
Tasty Cafe & Bakery in Avondale is a popular eatery that I've often visited in the last few years. The overall impression I get is that this is a great place to buy food from or dine in with family and friends. The array of pies the bakery creates is unique and never disappoints! I went for the new Cambodian fish curry pie and hot chips and it was a great combo! The pie pastry is always on point, the curry flavour infused with lemongrass (I think) is unique and flavoursome and the hoki fish melts in your mouth! Also the hot chips were crispy and tasty! Great pie and hot chips and I'll be back again for more!
They are all good i just found 20$ a bit too much for this.
Excellent selection of food and incredible kind service. They have awards for a damn good reason.
Know the owners well make better coffee in general than the one of the staff who made my coffee yesterday and it was yuck and bitter without no teaching how to make coffee and it not only the second time this has happened its the 3rd time
Great cafe and bakery and suffice to say that I took on the $20 big breakfast plate and piggishly emerged victorious. The best value for money big breakfast in Auckland.
