We came for an early dinner during happy hour. The view was amazing and the atmosphere was lively and enjoyable. I was there with family who preferred an early dinner, and overall the food was tasty. However, we found the dishes to be extremely salty, and we felt quite thirsty afterward. While it’s a great place for drinks, views, and ambience, it may not be the ideal spot for a relaxed sit-down dining experience.

This was a fantastic dinner! My wife and I chose this restaurant for our final evening in New Zealand, and it was the perfect way to end an epic trip. We started with drinks. I had a beer that was huge, and my wife ordered a chili margarita, which she loved. We both had the ribeye steak, cooked to perfection, with delicious sides. We also shared oysters, which were incredibly fresh and full of flavor. The service was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and genuinely engaging. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an excellent meal in Auckland.

It's a nice place with a nice outlook. The food was very good. The Thai beef and noodle salad was excellent. The description on the menu of the 2 salads shown wasn't what tuned up which wasn't a problem unless you were particularly keen on specific missing ingredients from the menu. My only other comment regarding the food, was that it's slightly pretentious and a little arrogant to not offer, and have no condiments on the tables. The wine selection and prices for everything aren't unreasonable, but neither is it inexpensive. Sort of middle of the road these days. The only gripe that almost spoiled my night was the service. It was extremely poor. From the start when entering the restaurant where you should go through the 'wait to be seated' process it wasn't great. This is all contextual. The restaurant was barely half full. We stood in front of a waiter and waitress who were having a discussion in front of us. No problem. But I had to eventually interrupt them to ask what should we do. Should we wait on you finishing your chat or seat ourselves? From their the waitress was very pleasant, offered menus, water etc. But after that it was excruciating. We had to wait and wait for service, constantly search for someone to take the order, then wait and search again if we wanted another drink, where the waitress only listened to the one drink and walked away without the other order. The Maitre d' eventually saw this and took the other part of the order. For a place that had plenty of staff on for the table covers, the service was very poor generally at all tables on this night. It did spoil the experience, and it was only after I'm guessing the Maitre d' may have said something that 2 of the waitresses bothered to come up and ask if everything was alright. Then at the end comes the bill with the customary default service charges. Things have certainly changed since I worked in and ran hotels in the UK. If the level of service is only that you deliver food like a sushi train, then you don't deserve a gratuity. We can all eat in, and save a fortune. The service is fundamentally important to the overall experience, and I didn't see anyone driving that until you complained. Then it's sort of too late isn't it. Maybe it was just a bad night. They were pleasant to talk to, but that doesn't constitute an adequate level of service to make any dining out experience what it should be. A little bit special.

Large table arrangements make it a great meeting spot for a dozen or more people. Great staff serving the tables. Plus it’s dog and kids friendly! McLeod’s Paradise craft beer on tab & very large sized pizzas with excellent crust and topics, all make it an excellent choice to come here for leisure or business. Only downside is the parking in the area, depending on time and date can be challenging, lots easier when you come by foot, ferry, bus or scooter ;)

An incredible evening with my grandmother thanks to Berta and Daniel. Was quite chilly outside with no space inside for two inside, so he brought around a heater, hot water bottles, and blankets for us to keep warm at sunset. Food was impeccable, and the sweet potato fries are a must. Great service and wonderful food with a prime location right on the wharf.

Wait staff were all very accomodating and friendly , our large group of 28 were very well taken care off, food, especially the pizzas were amazing! It’s so good that my team dive right into it before I had the chance to take photos! Would definitely return

I ordered the pork belly, a longer than expected wait was made up by the quality of the presented food. Melt in the mouth slow cooked pork topped with thin crip crackling. Served with caramelised onion, pickled courgette, buttery mash, served with red wine jus, and topped with sliced kumera chips. Accompanied by a glass of Sawmill Hazy - overall, a very satisfying meal, thank you.

The Ocean's Catch pizza is hands down my favourite meal from their menu! Order it if you haven't tried it yet and make sure they give you slices of lemon (they didn't when I was there last). Kumara fries are also delish - crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Good service and really great location especially in the summer when the wind is welcome as you're sat at one of their outdoor tables. I'll always go back here for the Ocean's Catch pizza and I pray it'll never be removed from the menu. So...I went back for this recently with my bestie and I have to say my usual pizza was not as impressive. The base was soggy and the ingredients were quite sparse i.e. not enough "Catch" so wasn't as happy as I usually am. It needs a slightly fluffier base to withstand the oil from the salmon. The salmon is the best part of the pizza - well all of it is but there just wasn't enough on this visit. Kumara fries were decent as usual so good to see some consistency maintained.

The place was almost full when we came. Seated in a breeze as we had a reservation. Ordered their Aug special, wine & mains came first before our oyster appitizer. The beef cheek was so tender & fish had the crispy side. Late came our bread entree, needing no dessert as we were full to the brim. Would love to go back, hopefully there will be no service mishaps.
