“Easily the best kebab I’ve had in a fair good while. Absolutely perfect. Great prices for an AWESOME kebab. I’m not quite sure what kind of seasoning you guys do for your chips (chicken salt??), but holy damn they were so on point. Perfect amount of seasoning and perfectly crispy, Chips really can make or break a meat on chips. Chicken was beautiful, again the seasoning was incredible. Fresh salad and yummy sauces. Good amount of extra cheese. I will be coming back as much as possible. Thank you for a great after work meal”

“This restaurant is a hidden gem in Auckland if you want authentic Indian food, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere. The Chitali and Nikunj were great, and the setting had a very ethnic feel to it. The highlight and best part were the Australian Eggs Fried and Pani Puri. would like to go back. strongly advised.”

“We were sitting in the restaurant trying to remember a similar dining experience. We went through all the Sydney fine dining you would expect, extended out to NSW, across Australia and there ended up being only 2 experiences we felt were equivalent. L'en-clume a 3 Michelin star pop up in Sydney in 2023, from the UK that we were lucky enough to experience when they were in Sydney. L'en-clume are coming back to Sydney! we are hoping to get tickets and go again! - we actually still have the Kale plant they gave us as a gift when we left the restaurant, growing in our garden! The second equivalent experience would be Hentley Farm Restaurant The food ate The Grove is superb, truly experimental, truly interesting, but with a keen eye for flavor and the experience of dining. The Horse Mussel and Wasabi, Wasabi were both stand outs, but anything on the menu would stand up in any kitchen in the world. The wine pairing was superb with the palate of @andreamartinisi intertwining and layering the experience of the wine with the food. Service, impeccable. Get in quick, the owners are calling it a day after 20 years and close in late March 2025.”

“We dined here today. We started with appetizers which were nice. But the highlight fir me was my main which was fish catch of the day snapper. It was superb. The others had Surf and turf which they said was ok and another had the lamb cutlets which she enjoyed. Meals came out quickly. Service was splendid. We had a lovely dinner here.”

The momos were absolutely delicious—perfectly steamed, juicy, and full of authentic Nepali flavour. The Nepali Thali was outstanding as well, with a great variety of dishes, balanced spices, and a truly homely taste. Pawan was extremely polite, attentive, and made sure we enjoyed our meal. “It is a cozy restaurant with lovely staffs and I had very nice lunch time there. The pizza made from daily fresh dough，so it had an elastic、 crispy and tender crust，aromatic toppings. They use their original in-house sauce with rich taste. These are completely different from pre-finished meals which are served in other restaurants. Meatballs、BBQ Bacon pizza and Risotto di Pollo are amazed me，if you come here you should try them.”

“Always a great experience. My favourite is the steak with bone marrow crumble, it's a must try if you love steak. The plates are best shared and no matter what you order each dish will be an experience in itself. Being asian I care less about the decor when the food is this good, but the decor is inviting and relaxed.”

“We just had a special dinner here for two. A beautiful setting, the most fantastic service and delicious food! We especially asked in advance if the pork belly was on the menu and yes it was. “Two years ago, Spiga was the place where we had our first date. Now, as a married couple, we returned for lunch, and it was just as wonderful as we remembered. The cozy atmosphere, delicious food, and exceptional service made it a truly special experience. Fungi Pizza was absolutely incredible—hands down the best fungi pizza in Auckland! The crust was perfectly crispy, and the mushrooms were so fresh and flavorful. We were so impressed that we asked the staff where they sourced their mushrooms. They were incredibly friendly and took the time to explain everything in detail, which made the experience even more enjoyable. We can’t wait to come back and create more beautiful memories here.”

“Gorgeous spot tucked on the top end of town. I can honestly the best sushi I’ve had in New Zealand and even rivalling tastes from my travels to Japan. Pricing was well and truly fair for the quality and the staff there were so joyful. Can’t wait to come back ❤️”

“Delicious food, generous portion and a very very kind and sincere owner who serves with care, ensuring patrons are comfortable and relaxed in the restaurant. Had dinner there in June 2025 and for 1 hr, I watch the numerous customers who dined in or took out. Service is prompt and considerate. No wonder there were so many customers. Owner even recommended tourist spots and tips for good photos. Service left a lasting impression, hence I had to leave a positive note though was so busy after my last visit as a tourist to Pukekohe. Highly recommended!”

“Came for lunch, good parking spot right outside. Our server was very polite and friendly. We ordered filetto, risotto e fungi, and tagliatelle bolognase. Nice big portions and absolutely tasty! Eye fillet was cooked as requested. For dessert we had cheesecake and profitroles which were nice. Very nice and clean restaurant and toilets, nice moody ambiance. Definitely will return.”

The Limone and focaccia were real standouts. The ambience is cozy, and the staff are so warm and welcoming. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic, delicious Italian food. “I just finished going up mount Eden and was hungry. Found this place nearby. It's a fairly small place. Seats about 25. Nice, subtle decor. Got the steamed duck #38, with coconut rice. I was hoping for thai tea but they had run out. It took about a half hour to be served. I'm going to assume it was made to order, it was that good. Nicely presented in a shaped dish. I recommend Basil Thai, make reservations!”

“They have seating available for couples to large groups and it is best to book a table. More of a Thai fusion restaurant, but the flavours are really tasty and presented well. The deep fried whole barramundi and BBQ beef short rib are highly recommended. They also have kids menu and a good selection of cocktails.”

“I'm so glad we tried Hayami. The food was excellent along with the service. The food must have arrived at the table in less than 10mins after ordering. Reasonably priced good quality wine too.. The decor inside gave a real Japanese feel, which just added to everything. It was one of the best Japanese I've had in Auckland.”

“Good authentic Spanish food. We enjoyed the rich flavours in the Squid dish - main sized. Really good - recommended! The paella was rich and delicious, full of seafood and great flavours. Large serve. Good garlic and cheese bread pizza. Leafy salad with olives and feta good too! Cheap drink 3pm - 6pm 8$ wines and beers Enjoyed the Seaview from a table near the front of the restaurant. Only downside was the tables are very close - so the conversation of you and your neighbours are not private…”

“My daughter and I had a wonderful lunch, little miss 5.5 was not only all smiles but very well looked after including sneaky chocolate delivery from the lovely Emilie who expertly serviced our needs. Attentive, friendly and anticipating our every need, this girl needs a bar tab from the owners or at the very least a juicy slab of meat loaded with truffle butter!! A true pleasure of an experience with delightful food, service and even better views!”
