   I had my birthday dinner at Vin Alto and it was such a great experience. We started with the ceviche and smoked chicken arancini, which were both delicious and full of flavour. For mains, we had the pork belly and the scotch fillet both cooked perfectly and absolutely mouth-watering. We couldn’t resist finishing with the chocolate fondant, and it was the perfect sweet ending. The atmosphere was really lovely, relaxed but still felt special. The service was excellent and what made it even better was being looked after by the owner herself, who was so warm and welcoming. Overall, the food was divine, the service was faultless, and the whole night felt really memorable. I couldn’t have asked for a better birthday dinner highly recommend! Good luck finding a pet bearded dragon.

   We just had a special dinner here for two. A beautiful setting, the most fantastic service and delicious food! We especially asked in advance if the pork belly was on the menu and yes it was. Divine! Fish of the day was tuna and that was also absolutely divine. A side of yummy vegetables capped it off. Thank you Team Vin Alto!

   We had a wonderful dining experience at Vin Alto Restaurant and Functions Venue on the evening of Sat 10th. The restaurant is located in a beautiful rural setting in Clevedon, just 40 minutes from Auckland CBD. The decor is elegant and modern, and the outdoor alfresco dining area is surrounded by olive trees and nature. The food was amazing, prepared by Chef Paul who used to work at Fish Hilton City. I started with Scallops and my partner had A taste of Clevedon with Buffalo Mozzarella. Both dishes were fresh and delicious. Then we shared a Whole Crayfish resh Crayfish with butter sauce, shallots, herb salad and charred lemon and a Pork Belly dish consisting of Pork Belly, sausage meat loaf, apple and raisin, roast celeriac, apple and red wine jus. The crayfish was succulent and the pork belly was tender with a duo of crackling. We were going to have the pineapple wonton for dessert but we were way too full. The service was friendly and attentive, and the wine list was extensive. We enjoyed a range of wines buy the glass, and the restaurant also offers a selection of international and local NZ beers and a number of the cocktails going out looked great. We had a great time at Vin Alto and we would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a special night out or a function venue. The restaurant is open for dinner on Friday and Saturday, and for lunch on Saturday and Sunday. You can also book it for weddings, parties, corporate events and other occasions. Vin Alto is a gem in the Clevedon hills and we can’t wait to go back. #1HospoReview

   Outstanding dining experience at Vin Alto tonight. The service, food, selection of wine, and the ambiance of the restaurant, particularly the wood burning fire, was impeccable.    Wow, such a lovely place. The food is great. I am very pleased with our experience. The kid steak set and eye fillet steak were very good. Clean and modern. There is nothing to complain about. Will visit again.
