β€œHad an amazing dining experience at East Restaurant. The vegetarian Asian-fusion dishes are creative, flavourful, and beautifully presented. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the ambience is modern and relaxing. A perfect spot for date night or dinner with friends. Highly recommended!”

If I could leave 10 stars I would. We have just had the most amazing meal here. Gorgeous flavours like a cross between Thai, Malaysian and Indonesian. Home made wontons and then an incredible cuery with rich sauce. All vegetarian and honestly it deosnt matter if you are a meat eater or not. The flavours are so incredible. I should also mention the wine which was extraordinary. I only managed to take photos of the outstanding desserts as we were too in awe of the food. Finally the service was ex exceptional. Please please open in London! Ive been on my travels for 5 weeks in Australia and New Zealand and East is my number one favourite meal. Thank you so much.

East is definitely one of the best vegetarian restaurants in Auckland. The space is modern and stylish, and the beautifully presented dishes match the vibe perfectly. Every plate was bursting with bold Asian flavors - absolutely delicious. We honestly didn’t miss the meat. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but fair enough given it’s a hotel restaurant. Highly recommended if one is looking for a healthy & flavorful meal.

The interior design was lovely and the food was delicious. As a big eater the portions were also decent. I'll have to go back to try the other menu options as there was just too much that sounded good. Sucker for a good asian dessert, lovely subtle flavours.

Wow! This place is a vegan paradise. Hats off to the chef for imaginative dishes, beautifully presented! I came with my family who are vegan and vegetarian and eat out a lot - so we're quite fussy. Often the selection is limited but here we could have everything! We went full out and had all the starters, with the highlight being the Crispy cups with pineapple and Thai chilli jam. Then Larb salad, Bang bang shiitake mushrooms (very popular on the table!) and sticky jackfruit buns. We were a bit stuffed after all this food, but we then shared the signature Penang Curry with Lotus root, which was also delicious and also made space for desserts. I can't remember when we all ate so much - it was all too delicious not to try!!

Super tasty food that would be loved by vegans and non vegans. Slightly on the expensive side but good size of dishes. Loads of flavour. Downtown location that’s very modern and beautiful. Looks out over the road. Very nice toilets. Friendly staff. Wouk’s definitely recommend the food

I had my birthday dinner here yesterday and I loved everything about the restaurant. The decor it’s very lovely, warm and relaxing, such a good vibe. The drinks were delicious as well as the food. I was impressed. I’m new in Auckland and haven’t come across many vegetarian/vegan restaurants yet. I will definitely come back here. We ordered a set menu which was plenty of food for 6 people. Customer service was very good, we get well looked after, no issues at all. I recommend East restaurant.

Booked in today and the restaurant is more than half empty upon arrival they decided to sit us exactly beside another occupied table. We requested if we can move to the corner sofa as most of the tables are empty but my husband was informed it was booked. The food and the decent ambiance builds the 3 stars service didn't match they have enough staffs in the floor for some reason 4 service staffs are just stuck in the bar area looks like their having training during service hours good for them not for the guests due to lack of service we decided to leave without desserts and the tables were left empty.

The excellent service stood out to me. We came here for a birthday dinner and the waitress we had was very attentive and accommodating for this special occasion. The food was served quickly, presented beautifully, and full of flavor. I had the wraps and they were very good. The restaurant itself is clean and modern. We initially discovered this place by walking by it and were immediately drawn towards its hip vibe, and decided we had to try it out sometime. I'm so glad we did!
