“It's a lot bigger than it looks like from the outside. The grill in front of the door makes it look like it's shut, but it is actually open. It has a big meat selection at very reasonable prices. Alongside the meat fridges you'll find very cheap and fresh veggies. I bought some beautiful crunchy capsicums for only 70c and a whole bag of eggplants for just $5. Beyond that are some pantry and freezer items. It's a big selection of interesting and different Asian products. It's well worth a visit!”

Prices are sharp across the board — groceries, meat, produce, and household items all come in at the lower end, especially if you keep an eye out for specials. The fruit and veg section can be a bit hit or miss depending on the day you visit, but most of the time it’s decent. The meat section usually has a good range at affordable prices, and the bakery offers the basics like bread, rolls, and a few sweet treats. Staff are usually around if you need help, but it’s a typical Pak’nSave setup — more of a DIY experience. Most people are just in and out, focused on the shop, so don’t expect high-touch service. That said, checkout lines move fairly quickly and self-service options help if you’re only picking up a few things. The carpark is decent with a fair amount of space, though it can get full during peak shopping times, especially weekends. “This place is a gem. We ordered share plates (edamame, chicken katsu, tempura veges and okinomiyaki) followed by Japanese ice cream. All were prepared very nicely and were delicious. Service was efficient and friendly even though the hard working staff were quite busy. The whole place reminded us of small restaurants in Japan. “The Shelf is such a charming coffee shop! The decor is super cute, with unique and quirky items displayed on every shelf, giving it a cozy and fun vibe. They offer light snacks and some creative coffee options—like the sesame coffee, which I regret not trying. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, definitely a bit different from other coffee shops. It’s a lovely spot to hang out or even do some work on your laptop. As for the coffee itself, it’s good, but nothing extraordinary. Overall, it’s a great place to relax and enjoy the unique ambiance!”
