   I used to adore Icebreaker. Used to purchase at least one item every year because the clearance deals were too good to be true. As years go by, Icebreaker RRPs have steadily been climbing while bringing their design philosophy in line with AS Colour - functional, simple, and unimaginative. One style fits all. So we were pretty stoked to come across a jacket that suited our needs. $500 down from $1000, but the medium (the last in the country) was out at Mānawa Bay. 40 minutes drive later - oh, sorry, the grey is $500 down from $1000. But the black we wanted is $700 down from $1000. Which is not what was communicated at the Albany store. And while I'll grant you the slightest possibility that this was somehow lost in translation, there ain't no way this is reasonable. I love the Icebreaker clothing I own. My jackets are 15+ years old and have stood the test of time - both in endurance and style. But hey - now we're in Assembly Label (designed in Australia, assembled in China), about to drop $350 on a 100% merino trenchcoat. Thanks for the inspiration to shop elsewhere.

   The outlet shop is good, variety of old season products. Staff is friendly. Offers and discounts vary during the year, great promotions Went there today... Haven't need there for a long time. Nothing special, Icebreaker is not the same as it was a few years ago. Very disappointed. Got more disappointed when I was told I could not use the $10 voucher I received for recicling clothes, not able to use at the outlet shop.

   Older season and end of line clothes with a discount. Sizes are mainly smaller or larger, but a few mediums to be had! Unfortunately I am quite tall and all the shorts were quite short too!
