Delicious coffee β˜• Tea came with a timer ⏳, never had that before, what a great idea. Tea had nice flavor and enough for 2 cups, with good supply of milk. Service quick and efficient. Would definitely recommend a visit.

A very lovely breakfast spot with something for everyone β€” sweet or savoury. Here you can choose from egg dishes, waffles, bagels, croissants, pastries, all accompanied by delicious coffee, homemade iced tea… you name it. And all of this in a cosy, welcoming setting. In other words, a real must-visit β€” especially after a long flight, the perfect place to start your day feeling good.

The Shelf CafΓ© on High Street was an unexpected gem. Honestly, I only popped in because I urgently needed to use the toilet – but once inside, the atmosphere won me over instantly. I decided to order and was so glad I did. The food was beautifully balanced in flavour and presentation, with fresh ingredients and a real attention to detail. The coffee was rich, smooth, and exactly what you want from a great city cafΓ©. Best of all, the hospitality was genuine and friendly, making me feel like a welcome guest rather than just a customer. What started as a pit stop turned into a highlight of my day – I’ll definitely be back, this time on purpose.

The Shelf is such a charming coffee shop! The decor is super cute, with unique and quirky items displayed on every shelf, giving it a cozy and fun vibe. They offer light snacks and some creative coffee optionsβ€”like the sesame coffee, which I regret not trying. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, definitely a bit different from other coffee shops. It’s a lovely spot to hang out or even do some work on your laptop. As for the coffee itself, it’s good, but nothing extraordinary. Overall, it’s a great place to relax and enjoy the unique ambiance!

The staff were very kind and service was fast, but the actual food left something to be desired for me. I'm probably not the target audience for this kind of place, with the advanced "deconstructed" drinks and the like. I tried the french toast and it was shockingly sweet. It came with a berry sauce, cooked (candied?) banana, was dusted with powdered sugar, and then topped with a big glob of cotton candy. Unfortunately, due to the sugar overload, any other flavours were sort of drowned out. The french toast itself was excellent, with a crispy exterior and soft fluffy interior, and it was nicely thick-cut as well. It's a shame that all you could taste was sugar. The drink was similarly unusual. I paid a premium ($8, which might be closer to $6 at other establishments) for the privilege of having to make the iced latte myself. Again, I think another person might enjoy this sort of thing a lot more, but it just rubs me the wrong way. To be fair, it's not like it was a surprise (the drink was a "deconstructed iced latte") but at the same time there was no option to have a... constructed latte. Overall, if the atmosphere and style seem appealing to you, then I'm sure you'll have a fantastic time. Perhaps avoid the french toast if you aren't looking for a sugar high at 9am.

Tried chicken sandwiches and hot white chocolate. Food was good. But hot chocolate was not hot enough. The ambiance is good. Caramel bite was too hard.

I swung by The Shelf on Sunday around 2pm to grab a quick bite with my brother. Let me tell you, the place was hopping! Luckily, we managed to snag a table towards the back. The staff wasted no time in taking care of us and getting our order. Now, let's talk about the menu. It's seriously got something for everyone. We ended up going for the Chicken Fettuccine and the Kimchi BBQ Pork Belly with Scrambled Eggs. And, we couldn't resist trying the Orange and Passion Fruit Ade and the Tim Tam Freak Shake. Both the food and drink was out of this world! Both dishes were bursting with flavor, and the portion sizes were just right. That Pork Belly? Oh my, it was heavenly! And the Ade? So refreshing! But let me tell you, the Tim Tam Freak Shake was a showstopper. Talk about creativity in a glass! As for the vibe, it was totally chill and inviting. If you're looking for a great spot to grab a snack or quick lunch, I can't recommend The Shelf enough. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

Chanced upon this cafe in High street on a Sunday morning quest for brunch with friends. Loved the cafe ambience. It was clean and cozy offering seating in a variety of configuration ranging from high tables to single booths. Service was quick and food incredible. The place allows its customers the opportunity to mix their drink to suit an individual’s taste. For instance - the quantity of vanilla shot in my flat white, milk in my ice coffee etc. Loved this concept. The French toast was outstanding. Highly recommend this place.
