   Absolutely love this place! Their cakes are consistently high quality and much lighter than your typical supermarket cakes. The Tiramisu cake is a personal favorite. Friendly staff and great coffee too. 10/10

   Bought a Strawberry Fresh Cream Cake on 24 Dec for a birthday. After lunch we cut it and the strawberries inside were already bad (smell and taste off). Returned the cake on the same day, but the store said they couldn’t check or decide immediately and needed to send it to factory. So the birthday was ruined and we had to wait days for a result. On 27 Dec they emailed: “We have checked with our production team and confirmed that the cake you purchased was made on the 23rd… it was still within shelf life… we will proceed with processing your refund.” No comment about the actual condition of the cake, only shelf life. Two days later I even received another email (sent to me by mistake) about the same cake on the same day, so it’s clearly not only my case. That customer was only offered a voucher, not refund. Refund was finally done, but handling was slow and no real acknowledgement of product quality. If you plan to buy cakes with fresh fruit inside, just be careful. Based on my experience, I would avoid it.

   I ordered the fresh cream kūmara cake and it was absolutely mind-blowing — it honestly tasted like heaven. The perfectly baked kūmara sponge paired beautifully with the fresh cream layers in the middle, and the fresh cream icing around the cake was spot on. It was light, fluffy, and not heavy at all, making it a perfect summer treat. Well done, Gateaux House — truly outstanding!

   Very disappointed! I've had the worst black forest cake ever! This is cheating! This is a birthday cake for someone else, everyone is embarrassed! Very bad feeling! The cake sandwich is a shoddy cherry that tastes hard and unbearably sweet. Your quality was not like this before! The cake tastes bad and the cream tastes like plant cream and is difficult to digest.

   This place is spotless. You can eat off the floor it's so clean. Loads of deserts to choose from. Done to perfection and look amazing.The restaurant has loads of tables and really nice setup. Staff are attentive and friendly. Prices are high but you get for what you pay for. Large cakes for parties or just passing and want a small treat. Some prices in photos. Loads of Parking. Wheelchair friendly. Only small & regular size coffee. Upstairs & Downstairs tables. Spotless. Funky & Modern inside. Loads of cakes, dessert's to choose from. ++ 5 STAR rating ++

   This place is the go to for me and my wife, we probably go here once every week or two. The cakes are amazing!! We always get the slices, and the coffe is great. The lady's that work there are always welcoming and lovely, they pay special attention to our daughter. The blueberry vanilla cake is amazing

   Yum yum yum... this is my dream place, with so many great deserts to choose from. They are done to perfection and look amazing. We had a moose cake, Donut type bread, almond thing, and the black forest cake. All of them were delicious. The restaurant was great with loads of tables and really nice setup. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Prices are high but you pay for quality here and you get quality. Large cakes for parties or just passing and want a small treat... this is the place.
