Spotlessly clean, spacious rooms with an open plan kitchen that opens onto a large deck with an entertainers BBQ and outdoor dining setting. A lovely white horse and cheeky Llama graze just yards from the deck - a very calm and peaceful setting. We would return without hesitation.”

I love the fact that we keep getting updates and photos/videos throughout the day. We truely feel that they care and love our pup! “Our first stop after arriving in New Zealand, not too far from the airport which was excellent after a long flight. Cottage was clean, bright and homely. It was so comfortable staying there. “I want to thank the team at Top Dogs Day Stay for the recent grooming they did on Stormy and Benji. It started with a consultation as to what I thought needed doing, and then they gave some ideas and I left them to it. When I picked them up afterwards they looked very smart. “This is a great place to stay in Devonport. The proprietors seem to have thought of everything to make for a pleasant stay. The bed was extremely comfortable. The shower was great. Lovely fluffy towels. Nice little treats left by the bedside. I can't imagine what could have made it better. Also, it's within easy walking distance of a multitude of cafes, restaurants and other shopping.”

“We loved spending 4 nights at Wild Thyme! Our hosts were gracious and helpful, with Bruce picking us up at the ferry and delivering us back to the ferry at the end of our stay. We recommend spending a day touring wineries with Jules. It was also easy to walk into town from Wild Thyme, or catch at bus at the bottom of the hill. The bus took us to additional wineries!”

“It is the little things....what a gorgeous place to stay. Tracy was super friendly and so accommodating. We mixed up our times and she was happy to help. The room was very comfortable and morning tea and coffee just outside our room was perfect. Breakfast downstairs with a beautiful view. We could not have asked for more. We have two adventurous and rather large and demanding Siamese boys. They are always cared for and accommodated in a way that works for them. The cat minders are conscientious and considerate of each cat’s needs. Our boys return home settled and happy. A very special place that we are thankful to have established a relationship with.”

“WOW - not only is the Lodge beautiful and relaxing, but the hosts are equally as charming. Our stay just happened to be on one of the most gorgeous days of the year, still the ambiance and views would be just as nice had the weather not been exceptional. We can't rave enough about the location...simply wonderful. What a nice way to spend a week-day. The food cooked by our host Gene, was first rate, and the friendly atmosphere added to an all-round superb mini-break. Thank you again for such a lovely visit... hope we'll be back. The shared space and rooms were incredibly clean. The hostel was very quiet for us so if you are looking for a peaceful stay this is the place. Absolutely stunning location and if the weather is good you are in for a treat!”

“We heard about K9 Heaven through the council when we rescued a dog from the Henderson Pound which we ended up taking to K9 Heaven and since then we’ve taken all our dogs there. Doggydan recommended K9 Heaven as well. Our dog Loki that was found on the southern motorway in Auckland at 12 weeks absolutely loved K9 Heaven and so did his companion our little staffi. They are brilliant with the dogs. The staff are wonderful, I know my dogs enjoyed it there because they didn’t want to come back out. I highly recommend anyone to take their dogs to K9 Heaven. I haven’t come across another daycare like it when they get to go on a pack run and play in the mud in the creek and have a shower and come home smelling nice thank you everyone for the brilliant Service .”

“We have been so impressed with Kumeu Kennels. Even though Kumeu Kennels is a bit far from us, it is absolutely worth the distance. The regular photo updates on Instagram really show how much the staff care for all the dogs and its so reassuring to see Zippy looking happy and relaxed interacting with everyone.
