   Our cat, Mischief who lives up to her name, doesn't like to be away from home. With some careful consideration we decided for Mischief to go on a holiday to Finisterre cattery. We knew Chantelle from the past when we needed care for our previous cat, and Mischief later. The rooms always look clean and the other cats look very well cared for. We kept in touch with Chantelle and staff while we were away, and we trusted that Mischief was looked after very well. We received updates and highlights were celebrated by sending us photos of her milestones feeling more confident. We had a very good idea how she was faring.    Finisterre has always been the cattery that friends and family recommended most highly—and now I can see why! We recently dropped off our two-year-old cat for her first-ever cattery stay of eight days, and we couldn’t have been happier with the experience. From the very first email, Finisterre were wonderful to deal with. They promptly responded to our enquiry, sent through photos of the different accommodation options (which I’ve included below), and even invited us to visit beforehand. During our visit, we were impressed by how clean, fresh, and well-maintained the units were—each one thoroughly cleaned and prepared between guests. All the cats there at the time looked content and relaxed. We chose unit #50, a single-cat space with a lovely outdoor view and a spot in a busy passageway where she could watch people go by. (She’s a curious girl who loves looking out windows at home!) The staff were so kind and patient, answering all our “first-timer” questions and making us feel completely at ease. Finisterre offers a range of options to suit all cats and budgets—from standard to climate-controlled units, single or multi-cat rooms, and spaces with different outlooks. We brought along a few familiar comforts from home—a blanket with our scent, her scratch wave, and a mini tower—just to help her settle in, though each cat area already includes plenty of cozy touches. While we were away, we emailed for an update and received a lovely reply letting us know how she was doing, including details on how she was eating and settling in. When we came to collect her, everything was perfectly organized and she was her usual smoochy self. Her unit wasn’t climate controlled, and there had been a few chilly nights during her stay, but the staff told us they’d given her a little hot water bottle to keep warm. I thought that was such a thoughtful touch—it really showed how much care and attention they give to every cat. We’ll definitely be using Finisterre again. It truly feels like a vacation for your cat! Tip: Make sure your cat’s vaccinations are up to date before booking.

   Gracie told us she had a wonderful time with no complaints. Seriously - great place to leave your fur baby. Staff truly look after them - even down to giving them a hot water bottle in case they feel the cold.

   I have consistently found the wonderful people at Finisterre Cattery always lavish the greatest of care and attention to detail on my cat Omega! Nothing is too much trouble and I always have full confidence and peace of mind that she is being really well looked after. They even send updates and photos of Omega which I do enjoy receiving when I am away. With much gratitude to Chantel and the team at Finisterre Cattery.

   This is an outstanding company. I have been overwhelmed by their kindness and helpful nature in our unusual circumstance. Finisterre Cattery have taken care of our cat for nearly 2 months and he has come home in excellent condition = clearly very well looked after. We visited him during this time and the staff loved him as much as we do! Highly recommended!

   Very happy with our cats stay here. Very professional and friendly staff always whenever I have interacted with them - whether in person, phone or email. Our cats were very well looked after for a week and would not hesitate to leave them here again. Facilities were all clean and you could see that the staff really do love cats. I could we that our cats got a lot of attention during their stay here. Will come back again :) Thank you!

   Chantel and her team are amazing. Years of experience and genuine care and compassion are apparent when you take your cat here. Boris was well cared for and pampered during his stay. We picked the climate-controlled indoor suite for him at $67 per day (a bit pricey but so worth it). I wouldn’t entrust his care with any other cattery in the future!
