“These guys did an incredible job at our Cancer Society fundraising event. Would recommend them to anyone. SO much fun, our participants loved it!”
“Professional and friendly classes to do tricking and parkour style gymnastics. My son is improving so much physically & mentally and made lots of good quality friends. Highly recommend”
“Good customer service. We were looking for a gift and Aissey was helpful in showing us different options and helping us pick a gift.”
“Highly recommended family business run by David who has been a pleasure to deal with over the past few years. Easy communication and top equipment available for hire.”
“Stephanie and the team at KiwiCrew are fantastic! Always impeccable quality screenprints and embroidery, as well as a quick turnaround. Thanks again!”
“We had our end of season Hockey at Laserforce, and had 2 hours unlimited lasertag. It was amazing, the kids and adults all loved it. It's such a big space with an upstairs and downstairs. Everything is explained well and the staff are great. We were able to bring in outside foods and had Pizza Hut delivered from just around the road and brought in other drinks and foods. All and all I recommend this for a kids party or team building activity.”
“Great customer service from all the staff especially the receptionist. I signed up for an adult swim class with Morgan. He was very patient to us and always does his best to correct our form and techniques. I didn't realize that learning swimming even as an adult could be this fun. The place is always clean and the water is really warm.”
“Its a clean and functional gym. The staff are nice and helpful. Recommend as one if the best starting gyms”
“I do karate here. Great floor, very spacious, perfect for your next sporting event”
“Very welcoming, my boys 14 and 17 loved the Trial class and signed up.”
“The cleanest of the leisure centres I visited. Warm water for kids, renewed spa and sauna rooms. Plenty of changing rooms for family. The only con is there isn't any family bathroom, just one for wheelchair.”
“Just joined, love the light from all the huge windows in the gym. Lots of space. Easy parking loads of spots. Good membership price! Has a coffee shop :). Got clean showers and loos. Great vibe with the other sports going on in the stadium people working out inside and out on the track (also bush walks by the river for summer), being around others of all ages moving and having fun, makes me feel motivated! Has a vast range of ways to exercise, and opens nice and early, w Pilates, Yoga, Gym, Boxing and other classes. I have never had a PT before, but if your after a personal trainer I turned up and just happened to have Blake show me around, on my first PT session (part of the package to get one session every 6 weeks). I was shown more in this time, about HOW to get fit and reach my specific goals, learning why and how to use the equipment and ended with a mix of stretches to recover (some I had never uncounted and I'm 53) more than any time I've joined a gym before. Blake really knows his stuff with his marshal arts, Yoga, Pilates and boxing back ground, and he's just laid back, non judgmental, (I have a lot of weight to loose) so felt comfortable and supported. I've now booked some PT weekly so that I am get the most out of the membership, its so easy to do exercises wrong way and not get the great results I can see support will really help me to reach my goals! I'm highly recommending this gym!”
“Our 2 daughters (now 8 & 10) joined Empire after attending a school holiday program with friends. We absolutely LOVE the studio and have recommended it to so many others. We particularly love the inclusive environment where students are empowered and supported to step out of their comfort zone and try new things and be their best selves. No body issues, hair styles or special uniforms required - just honest fun and friendship. My eldest has joined a competition team this year which has been a step up from the community classes in terms of commitment and skill level but she has been gently nudged and comes home every week wanting to practice and test her body and learn new tricks. She is so proud of herself every time she nails it. Thanks to Claire and Jaymie for the wonderful community they’ve developed and nurture. We love being part of it!”
“Great facility, very helpful staff. Big thank you to Sofie who helped us book a room last minute when our other venue fell through!”
“Kids like the coaches so much, especially Callums & Nicky. The pool’s water quality is very good. Highly recommended your kids to learn swimming lessons in here.”
“One of the best courts in town! The admin team—especially Mo—are incredibly helpful and friendly. Highly recommended!"”
“I absolutely love this club. My daughter is in the competitive program with some great results. Top grade equipment in a not so nice building that will hopefully be replaced one day. Highly recommend”
“There is indoor sports gym, meeting rooms, gym with weights, toilet and shower area. All clean and tidy”
“Excellent products, fantastic service, very fast delivery”
“Great place for a sports venue and social activities.”
“Sue is an amazing swim teacher who makes learning fun and easy. She is patient, kind, and encouraging, always cheering her students on and helping them improve at their own pace. Her friendly personality makes everyone feel comfortable in the water, and she has a talent for explaining things clearly so even difficult techniques become simple to understand. Sue is also very supportive and motivating, always noticing progress, no matter how small, and inspiring confidence in her students. She creates a positive and safe environment, making swimming lessons enjoyable and exciting every time. Overall, Sue is not just a teacher but also a role model, showing dedication, passion, and care in everything she does.”
“Top line: Very good gym, great facilities. Limited space. Friendly staff, especially the manager(s) Pros: it’s quiet with sauna, pool, onsen, steam room, tennis courts, football, basketball, towels, shampoo, conditioner, iron, moisturiser, hair gel, etc Cons: found it challenging to get the initial viewing. Limited and older equipment, but it does the job! Not sure how often the sauna etc gets a deep clean. Given all the other facilities, surprised it doesn’t have a hair brush in the changing rooms, and either 1. A machine to fast dry swim wear or 2. Plastic bags to take wet swim wear home”
“Been going to this gym for 3 years. Well maintained facilities and friendly and helpful staff. There’s a stadium upstairs with 6 hoops that is free to access for members. Wide range of fitness classes to choose from as well. PT service is also available. Lastly, it’s rare to find a gym that opens as early as 5:30am in Auckland, perfect for 8 to 5 workers like me.”
“My daughter is learning swimming here through swimgym in otara and she is loving it.. ❤️”
“Free local pools. The facilities are well maintained, staff are friendly and welcoming. We’re lucky to have Otahuhu Pools in the area.”

“One of the best gyms in Auckland. Especially if you’re looking at powerlifting. This place has everything you need. Highly recommended. 5 star.”
“I visited a couple of times during my stay in Newmarket. The staff were friendly and helpful, and I can’t fault the value — a day pass was very affordable at NZD $11 (around £6 for me). Please note that this review is intended as constructive feedback and does not reflect my overall positive experience of visiting. The changing rooms felt a little run down, and a spin dryer for swimsuits would have been useful. The pool itself was a great length, though I did experience a strong chlorine reaction in my eyes. The sauna was more like a saunarium, while the steam room was excellent it was spacious, consistently producing great steam, and one of the best I’ve been to. That said, it could have been cleaned more thoroughly but maybe it was the time of day i entered, and the ceiling may need replacing at some point. Overall, I really enjoyed my time here, especially the 50m pool the first I’ve come across. Many thanks.”
