Even though the lessons are conducted in groups, they are thoughtfully tailored to meet each student’s individual needs. The instructors do not allow bad habits to develop, as they correct techniques immediately. From our experience, they also genuinely listen to parents’ feedback and take into account what we feel our child needs to improve on. Our child is currently in Swim 25, and aside from having a dedicated instructor at the side, there are also additional instructors in the pool providing extra support for specific skill development — in our case, backstroke. All staff are very friendly, professional, and easy to approach. Thank you to Teacher Ryan and Supervisor Sue. They are doing a commendable job as for our experience. And to all staffs of Swim School, Thank you and more powers! -from Wiz and family❤️

I was at AUT Millennium several times as a parent helper for my daughter’s swimming lessons (helping them to get dried and changed afterwards) and didn’t see any clear signs that a free parking ticket was required. On the days in question, I only parked for 30–45 minutes which is well within the 90-minute free parking period — yet I was still fined because I hadn’t pulled a ticket, which I didn’t know I needed. I paid the first fine immediately once I found out, but weeks later received another fine for a different date that I had never been notified about. Even after explaining, they charged $65 instead of the previous early payment amount of $40. I understand parking rules are important, but the lack of clear signage and communication makes this feel unfair, especially for parents volunteering their time. It’s very discouraging to be penalised for an honest mistake and such a short stay. On a positive note: from what I saw my daughter seemed to have fun at her school swimming. But at this stage I’m unfortunately not keen to go there again.

Sue is an amazing swim teacher who makes learning fun and easy. She is patient, kind, and encouraging, always cheering her students on and helping them improve at their own pace. Her friendly personality makes everyone feel comfortable in the water, and she has a talent for explaining things clearly so even difficult techniques become simple to understand. Sue is also very supportive and motivating, always noticing progress, no matter how small, and inspiring confidence in her students. She creates a positive and safe environment, making swimming lessons enjoyable and exciting every time. Overall, Sue is not just a teacher but also a role model, showing dedication, passion, and care in everything she does.

Good place for athletes. Pool, oval track, gym. Gym ceiling quite small but cold. Good place to do your training in all levels. Make all facilities close til 12AM and this would be the best training centre in NZ.

Lovely and dedicated team who run the kids swim lessons. We've been bringing the kids for years and they've made great progress under the watchful eye of the amazing coaches.

My son used to learn swimming at AUT Millennium, they were quite nice and experienced before. But last time, I registered my little son for 2 weeks school holiday swimming program. After first week, the teacher told my son you were doing great, I should move you up. But after she noticed he had another week, she said oh, maybe we should move you up after next week. Second week, he was with the same teacher, but move to the old gym for swimming lesson, and swam with some really big boys and girls, they looked like 13-14 years old. After second week, the teacher said he should stay at this level for little bit longer, because he was too slow, especially compared to those big kids. Oh my god, my boy was only 8 years old at that time! Is that seriously to compare 8 years old boy to 13-14 boys? After that, I never go back to this swimming school! Don’t waste your time at this place to let you kids to learn swimming! They just keep you at same level forever!!!!

Went on a school trip. Instructors were great and primary aged children really enjoyed the experience of learning water safety, snorkeling, kayaking and rock climbing. Great facility.

Great facilities. Acoustics not great during competitions, supper noisy. Need more space for spectators in the smaller pool side.

Iam the member of this Gym. I like the place where you have almost everything such as swimming pools, gym, sauna as well. The staffs are friendly, I always feel welcomed. The members are working hard . The facilities are organized and tidy. I have been guest for some of the gym, but AUT millennium is the most perfect one! highly recommend it to your guys !!!
