Kids like the coaches so much, especially Callums & Nicky. The pool’s water quality is very good. Highly recommended your kids to learn swimming lessons in here.
My daughter has been at Swimtastic for 2 years now, and we’ve seen such incredible progress. She had incorrect freestyle breathing technique that stagnated her progress at other swim schools (Hilton Brown and St Cuths Swim school). Upon switching to Swimtastic, her form was rapidly corrected and she is now swimming mini squad, top of her year at school swim sports, and a promising Flippaball player. We have been particularly impressed with her instructors Luca B and Isaac P during this time.
My daughter was enrolled in a swimming course here 5 years ago. As I recall, they charged $80 for it. She was 3 years old at the time. The swimming coach who was in charge of her once let her into the water. She was afraid of the water and was afraid to swim until she was 8 years old. After 5 years, she is taking the course elsewhere. It has been 4 months since it started. Now she is swimming well. This institution has ruined my child's time.
The booking system and management are terrible. You have to book and pay for all classes in advance. My 4-year-old daughter was very scared and couldn’t get into the water for the first two lessons. One of the head teachers told me, “Next time you come, just force her into the water and leave straight away — even if she cries.” => Teaching through fear — the old-school way. I didn’t want to traumatize her, so I asked for a refund or to transfer the remaining classes to another child in our family, but both requests were refused. This is not a customer-friendly approach at all. The pool is overcrowded, not welcoming, and the changing rooms are dirty. People even walk around the pool with their outdoor shoes on. It feels neither safe nor hygienic, and clearly not managed with any customer care in mind. I would definitely not recommend Swimtastic.
This is a very good swimming school. After trying three different ones, I finally chose this one, where my children have been studying for over two years. The teachers and staff are friendly, the venue is warm, and there's plenty of parking. It's always improving. Recommended!
Great place, well organised but the standout has been my sons teacher, Charlotte who has helped him with his swimming classes. She has been exceptional with her approach and should be commended for her style of teaching, connecting well with her students, teaching great skills and discipline.Thank you Charlotte for your amazing work and the SwimTastic team for your work
Took my 3 month old for her first swimming lesson today and was very impressed with teacher (Charlotte) and the facilities overall. Very professional and super clean. The pool is low chlorine and the building is kept nice and warm - perfect for babies. They also have plenty of showers, padded change mats and bag storage. Highly recommend if you are wanting to get your baby in the water!
This is a great pool and they offer a lot of classes for adults and kids! The adult classes that focus around health are fun. I suggest trying the water aerobics class regardless of your age or fitness level. It’s genuinely a fun time and you work at your own pace so your heart rate can get pumping or stay low and steady. The pool itself is very clean and the staff are lovely :)
My 5yo son did a holiday course here and made such great progress in just a handful of lessons. He went from being unwilling to put his face in and unable to float to having fun kicking with a flutter board and trying to use his arms too. His amazing instructors were Mohammed and Jess. My 2yo also really enjoyed the baby classes.
My son William loves swimming and we have tried with a hand full swimming schools in Christchurch and Auckland. SwimTastic is so far the best and our absolute favorite. All coaches are amazing professional, which is hard to achieve in my opinion. They have great patience and understanding of how to guide toddlers as well as fully trained technics. Highly recommend!
