“With its generous layout and seating options inside and outside, this cafe provides a charming setting to enjoy your food. The amazing crew greeted us and showed exceptional care; their vibrant energy captured our attention right away. A diverse array of choices awaits you, including kitchen menu selections and beverages, highlighted by an impressive showcase of pastries and desserts up front. One should highlight the lack of trashy and shallow music, along with the ample space and cleanliness of the washrooms. Summer has arrived, and it's common to expect buzzing flies while eating; however, their conspicuous absence results from the Rentokil system fixed to the wall. All is satisfactory! Those who love food need to experience this restaurant! With two visits behind us, we eagerly anticipate the upcoming ones!”

“As a tourist passing through, my partner and I made a quick stop at Gloria Jean's Southgate on our way to Hamilton. I had a takeaway salmon quiche and enjoyed some freshly baked muffins on-site. The coffee was exceptional—rich, smooth, and perfectly brewed. What truly stood out was the outstanding service. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and efficient, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. Our food arrived promptly, which we really appreciated as we were quite hungry. Overall, it was a delightful stop with great food, excellent coffee, and warm hospitality.”

I visited with my family and found the atmosphere to be warm and welcoming, creating a great setting for both social gatherings and a relaxed solo visits. The food was outstanding, especially the meat dishes, which were cooked perfectly to a medium rare. Overall, this is one of the best cafe dining experiences I’ve ever had, and I would highly recommend it.”

“Had the most amazing breakfast here today, it was a special for fathers day, smashed avocado with apricot baked salmon on rosti. Fantastic! Coffee was great too, highly recommend, will be back. Best breakfast I've had at a cafe for a long time. Thanks!!”

“The beef patty is cooked to perfection—crisp on the outside, tender within—with melted cheese enveloping the meat for a rich flavour. Fresh sides cut through the richness beautifully. The thick-cut chips are savoury, crispy and satisfying. The restaurant boasts lovely surroundings—definitely worth a second visit！”

“This is one amazing place for a good meal and some really well made cocktails. We ordered for a meat pizza and 2 cocktails. It was really well made. The waitress also helped us in selecting what to eat. Clean bathrooms.”

“Probably the best place to go for an awesome breakfast or even just a coffee. Of course is not cheap as a lunch bar or petrol station but is 10 times better. What I really like of this place is that it even has a drive away, what makes it perfect for rainy days, cold days or even sunny days. I usually like to order a large cappuccino or mocha, can't say which one is better as both of them are made amazingly by its friendly staff :).”

“I always come to this branch as it’s close to my home. The drinks are amazing and staff are always friendly and helpful. My favourite drink is the mango cream crusty and brown sugar fresh milk. I highly recommend this place.”

“Have ordered twice now Big Breakfast on UBER EATS and I demolished it because it was so fresh, and still hot when arrived. My coffee was hot. Had to leave a review regarding my Uber Eats orders I've made and how 10/10 they were everytime. Delicious sausages and the garlic mushroom so full of flavour. “Such incredible food here! It was a busy Sunday when we went in, which meant we didn’t really get much of an ‘entrance’ welcome but that’s fine - it said counter service so we went and grabbed a table ok! Meals and coffees came out super fast even though I was bracing for a long wait - coffee was good and hot, but the breakfasts were AMAZING. I got the creamy mushrooms, my partner got the eggs Benedict. Can’t fault them!”

“I've enjoed the Uxbridge Cafe on several occasions, I find the service and coffee excellent Yesterday however, the owner Jimmy exceeded any expectations I had. Taking a break at lunchtime, my husband decided to join me so I ordered a cappuccino for him before he arrived. By the time he showed up the coffee was cold, so I asked if it could be reheated in the microwave. Without reservation, Jimmy said, "no need for that, I'll make another." I offered to pay but he wouldn't hear if it. Kudos to you...and thanks.”

“It was my first time trying the Pepperoni and Manhattan pizzas at Sal's Pizza Takapuna, and I was impressed! The base was thin and crispy—just the way I like it—and the flavors were amazing. Their potatoe chips were delicious too! The staff were super friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend Sal's Pizza Takapuna! You made my movie night super easy and completely fuss-free. “I didn’t have food but the beers were tasty and there was a great bar man who asked where I was from and what brought me to Auckland. I said I was there for Pearl Jam and he then put a grunge/alt rock playlist on without me even requesting it. Thank you for making it a great evening and the beers were quality.”
