Such a great atmosphere especially in summer. Lovely to sit outside with a pint and grab some food a stones throw from the beach. Staff were lovely and very accomodating of our doggo friends.
First meal in this cute little town and it did not disappoint. If you’re hungry and looking for a HUGE meal than this is your place. The meals are so big and delicious. The service was amazing and really helpful to my two children. Really enjoyed coming here and would recommend. Tip- The nachos can easily feed 2 people
I went to this place for lunch today with my wife, Initially the service was really good, then it deteriorated somewhat, but you can live with that. But the lamb shank I had was around $42 so it wasnt cheap. The flavor was very lacking, seriously I used almost 2 salt sachets on it, but worst thing was the overpowering tomato sauce/gravy, it was awful, the potato bed that the lamb came on was only just warm. The lamb shank itself was ok, maybe slightly over cooked, but Im ok with that, just this revolting tomato sauce, Its 8.00pm now and Ive still got acid reflux from this acidic sauce. Sometimes l think chefs try to get too funky with their sauces. Just keep it simple, and nice gravy mixed with a red wine Ju, simple but tasty. Probably the worst Lamb shank sauce and flavor Ive tried ever. I complained to the bar manager, but wouldnt reduce the price on it. Im pretty pissed about, I dont normally complain like this, but it deserves it. Especially no compensation offered, We will never go back.
The frozen cocktail was absolutely delicious and the perfect way to start the evening. The beef salad was fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully balanced with crunchy noodles and a tasty dressing. We finished off with the sorbet dessert that was light and refreshing. Great atmosphere and friendly service.
Great atmosphere. Awesome food with generous portion sizes. Excellent staff who were very attentive, friendly and efficient. Highly recommended.
Delicious chicken salad and a generous serving. And the fries are pretty good too! Great staff... friendly.
Great food. The GF pizza was great The alcoholic slushies were amazing Lovely views across the road to the beach. Good atmosphere and has a big screen tv that was showing the Sail GP. Was understaffed. No cold water due to none of the glasses being washed due to only 1- 2 people on the bar.
Fantastic spot, great ambience, attentive and quick service. Food was really good, a must try if you're in Orewa. Will be back when it's sunny outside to take in the great views and local scene.
