Came here for lunch while walking around. Pretty empty, but service was great. Food was amazing and would recommend coming back for the live music to enjoy. Bar tender / Server was attentive to detail.
Found this place tucked away just around the corner of the quay. It was quiet for lunchtime, but you could tell that in the evenings it would come alive - with live music on offer. We had a great lunch - with very large portions - I couldn't finish my chips - in fact it looked like I had hardly touched them! I thought that the prices were more than reasonable for that area of Auckland. The staff were attentive and helpful. I would have no hesitation in going back to Danny Doolan's, either for lunch once again, or trying it as an evening place.
We took the lunchtime option and oh wow, wonderfully delicious food. Excellent portion. Great value for money, traditional but classy at the same time. *Very highly recommend* wish we had you nearer to us -Germany- we would always be here!! We will be back when we are next in Auckland.
Had the Sunday Roast for $35 NZD - a huge serve of vegetables, a massive Yorkshire pudding and 3 very thin small slices of lamb. A little underwhelming if you’re looking for protein. The pork serving was a little bigger so better value. Was OK but not great, wouldn’t choose again. Staff were super friendly and helpful.
Really nice bar. I can’t comment on the night life but for a Sunday lunch it’s chill and comfortable. I was lucky enough to get a spot beside the fire to read my book. The Caesar salad is top notch and the staff seemed very friendly.
Great selections of beer on the tap, but sometimes not available. Food was also not that expensive if you plan on ordering food to share with everyone in your table.
Can’t recommend enough! Staff was so kind and the Sunday roast with a pint was a great deal. My partner loved it! Small front but huge inside.
First time in this pub, great atmosphere to go with friends. It is small, but conveniently located at the harbour. Beer was normal, but awesome price for a jug of tui beer for $20. It was not so crowded when I went there around 5.30. The spice chicken was delicious and made a good combination with squid rings.
Fabulous atmosphere, wonderful friendly staff. Pub serves food too. Only had the beef croquettes which were just okay. Guinness most excellent.
What a night to unwind and enjoy with friends spent in this happy place. Love their cocktails s well as their live band with good choices of songs. We enjoyed the dance floor. Staff are all over the place to make sure peace and order is maintained. Will surely see you again.
