After a hard day's work, needed great food a something to drink. We had a he Pulled Pork Tacos and the Carnavor Pizza Both delicious, especially the tacos. Their craft tap beer selection was brilliant. Fantastic way to end a hard out day.
Amazing food and great service! The lamb rump and hot rock were outstanding, and everything from the chicken salad to the pork ribs was full of flavor. Friendly staff and cozy atmosphere — definitely worth coming back！
The food was absolutely delicious! The chicken salad was especially tasty, the pork ribs were full of flavor, and my kids loved the jerk chicken burger. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended!
Change of ownership since I've been back, different vibe. All tables are reserved, and a few tables in front that can be shared. Cramped seating area. - BBQ bacon burger 3.6/10 Stacked to the point where it's way too high. Actually, I had to dismantle it as it is a poor attempt to be way too fancy. Pattie is like a meatball, and removed all the hard, low budget coleslaw.
We came to dark horse for my mums birthday dinner, while the food was good and the staff were friendly, they wait time was quite long considering it wasn’t overly busy. The food took about 45min to come out which is probably about standard for platters, however I ordered a mojito and it took over 20minutes to be made! Overall the food was good, just really long wait times for simple things.
Surprisingly good pub food. We were in Auckland down from the North and we hadn't eaten all day. I saw the sign which said Bar and Grill and thought that it couldn't be too bad. It was surprisingly good food. It is a bar, so no ambience unless you like that, but the food was really good. I had a hamburger and chips. The hamburger was huge! The meat was very good. My husband had venison sliders which he loved. We also enjoyed a pint of cider. All in all a good place to grab lunch or dinner.
For a pub the food here is 10/10 have tried almost everything off the menu and not one dish was disappointing. Big portions and good price. Always fresh and delicious. Great spot to watch sports and have a drink. Even during busy times like UFC staff are always very efficient.
The staff were great, fast and efficient service. The food was delicious, reasonably priced and very generous servings. Highly recommend the ribs and the mixed grill.
