“Mighty ape you’ve done it again!! I ordered a year back when I discovered your business and had a pleasant experience. I don’t need to buy much but decided to order through you for some Christmas shopping. I had a delightful experience. I opted to collect my items and didn’t have to wait any longer than a minute!!! I was blown away by the efficiency. The girl whom I spoke to, I believe her name was Sadie, was very kind and we shared a laugh. All the workers roaming around were very welcoming and respectful. Amazing business you’ve got here. I will definitely purchase some more for end of year sales. Thank you mighty ape .”
“It's a lot bigger than it looks like from the outside. The grill in front of the door makes it look like it's shut, but it is actually open. It has a big meat selection at very reasonable prices. Alongside the meat fridges you'll find very cheap and fresh veggies. I bought some beautiful crunchy capsicums for only 70c and a whole bag of eggplants for just $5. Beyond that are some pantry and freezer items. It's a big selection of interesting and different Asian products. It's well worth a visit!”
“Has absolutely anything u need in an emergency. Linked to a liquor store ... owners are awesome and friendly people. Been shopping here the last 30 years of my life.”
“Hi there good shop to go to I went pass there today was going to stop in but it got a police tape around the shop”
“Handy shop stocked with pretty well most everything. Lovely Indian owners. Lotto onsite. Carparking right outside. Train Station across the road, public Conveniences also on roadside.”
“Always friendly and great service. Your one stop shop for most needs. Been going here in the past 23 years.”
“Good shop. Sells most of the necessities when the supermarket is closed.”
“I heard about this store some time ago. Only have the chance to visit it recently. This is not your normal Asian supermarket. The tidiness and cleanness are impressive. I can't say their prices are the lowest, but the range and variety are huge compared to other markets.”
“Neat and tody place to shop and also we get all our traditional Indian pulses and other groceries”
“I visited Columbia mart in November when I was visiting family in Auckland. I am.bit one to write many reviews... But I have to say that it is a fantastic convenience store that truly lives up to its name. It offers a wide selection of everyday essentials, snacks, and beverages, making it a go-to spot for both locals and visitors. What hit me the most and inspired me to write this review was the staff who were very very friendly and helpful, ensuring a truly pleasant experience. Open until midnight, the store is perfect for late-night cravings :).. ..”
“I stop in here all the time for their elite bacon and egg breakfast wraps. Great coffee, great staff and loads of sweet treats if you’re that way inclined. Highly recommend to all. James Ashwin Kakapo Business Sales”
“Only popped in for a couple of things instead of driving further on into Papakura to my usual supermarket. I'll never go anywhere else. This one stop store has it all and cheap. Friendly as staff . Great butchery selection. Algud in general.”
“Our guests on our Vintage Views tour of Auckland loved there stop here. Must do stop at Mission Bay.”
“Been coming to the store quite frequently - as well as my co-workers. It's my go-to spot for all things Korean. The store has an incredible variety of products. Staff are accommodating, friendly, and kind. Laughs with them too sometimes! Plus, they give me knowledge about the foods I'm curious about - makes it easier for me to decide, considering the variety. The store is clean, well-organized, and a joy to shop in.”
“Enjoyed my visit a big selection of food! Sweet and savoury snacks 10/10 this will now be a regular place to visit”
“This is a really great store. The staff are lovely and they have so much variety from organic spices to charcoal toothpaste and everything in between. They have lots of bin products of course so you can refill your own containers. I like trying new products every time I go there - this time it was vanilla bean paste which I'm having in my porridge. Yum! They stock lots of natural health products like the zero waste, plastic free Go Bamboo cotton buds. So it's a great store if you're looking to make more conscious choices for yourself and the earth. I just refilled my empty vinegar bottle and will do the same with my ecostore shampoo etc once they are empty. Check it out :)”
“Best Pak n Save branch I've been too. Their bakery is excellent offering fresh cream doughnuts, Leamingtons etc that many other branches are limited on. Also some exclusive bargains here, not available at other stores and a 10 cent discount fuel voucher instead of the usual 6 cents. Well done!”
“Came into Crackerjack a couple weeks ago and was helped by (I think) a guy named Blake - super friendly and gave genuinely great customer service. Made the whole visit really easy and welcoming. Legend!”
“The manager Teegan is amazing. She was fantastic with helping my little one pick out her outfits. Wonderful shopping experience”
“Great selection for all types and check out their specials. Staff very obliging. Fitting room, good access and parking.”
“I love this store. Very clean, tidy shelving, easy to find items. The isles are quite wide for a small store, so no one bumps into each other. Produce is fresh. Meat selection is good. It has this really calming feel for simmering so stressful for me as grocery shopping.”
“Pak’nSave Albany is one of the bigger branches on the North Shore, and it definitely shows. The store is spacious, fairly modern, and usually well-stocked, making it a popular choice for families and bulk shoppers. It keeps to the classic Pak’nSave model — low prices, minimal decor, and a focus on practicality over presentation — but the Albany location feels a bit more polished than some of the older ones. The layout is easy to follow, with wide aisles and clear signage, so you’re not bumping trolleys every few seconds. The shelves are usually full, especially earlier in the day, and there’s a decent range of both budget brands and the more well-known labels. Prices are, as expected, very competitive. You’ll find good specials across most departments, and if you’re shopping for a big household, it’s one of the better options to keep costs down. The fresh produce section is generally reliable. Some days the quality is top notch, other times it’s more average — pretty normal for Pak’nSave. The meat section offers good value and a decent selection, and the bakery is basic but has all the essentials. There’s also a reasonable selection of international foods, which reflects the local community well. Staff are usually friendly enough, though it’s mostly a self-service experience unless you go looking for help. Checkout times are fairly efficient, with a good number of lanes open during busy periods and a decent set of self-service checkouts for smaller shops. The carpark is big, but it does fill up, especially on weekends. That said, it’s well laid out and doesn’t feel like a fight to find a spot, even when it’s busy. Being close to other stores and amenities makes it easy to combine errands in one trip. One thing to note, like at other Pak’nSaves, is that what’s advertised online might not always match what’s in store, so it’s worth shopping with a bit of flexibility. All up, Pak’nSave Albany is a good choice if you want decent prices, a clean store, and enough space to do a full shop without feeling crammed in. It’s practical, reliable, and does exactly what you’d expect — no frills, just solid savings.”
“I absolutely loved your Portuguese tarts — they were the best! I’ve been looking for them lately but can’t seem to find them. Where have they gone? Hope to see them back soon!”
“Staff are super friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. In store butcher is one of the best around, parking can be a bit hectic at times but they're truly a part of the Birkenhead and wider North Shore community.”
“Good quality food with really friendly services. Good store size. Heaps of parking and right by the motorway exit. Good values too when on specials. Recommending a visit if you have been.”
“A really lovely young man on the checkout today. He's always so pleasant and friendly. Beautiful smile. A pleasure to see a young person who can engage in conversation and provide quality customer service...the pies are good too.”
“Raced into Farmers (Nor west) to update my foundation. However I had my product wrong name. Any other assistance could have said- no, we don't have that, but Mina (beautiful Persian woman) went the extra mile to find out what I actually wanted, and sourced the product from another counter. Her gracious manner throughout, reminded me that purchases for myself deserve to be less hurried and to enjoy taking time for me.”
“The mall features a wide selection of skincare brands, including Farmers, MAC, Lancôme, Estée Lauder, The Ordinary, and more. Currently, there’s a significant discount event happening, which offers great value. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, making it easy to find the perfect products.”
“This is my favourite shop in Auckland... They have an extensive range of organic and natural products, including fresh produce, all pantry products, and supplements and skin/ hair care etc. I love that this shop is also independently owned. Highly recommended!”
“One of the last supermarkets in Auckland who actually still provide customer care and service. The range is good the store is clean, however you will find this in most supermarkets. The staff are awesome, friendly helpful and polite. Even the guy picking up the trolleys was friendly you just dont get this anymore well done to everyone great team really A++++”
