   Fantastic cafe! Caffiend is one of the best cafés in Petone. The food is always great, the service is super fast, and the staff are genuinely kind and welcoming. The whole place has a good atmosphere. It’s a little on the expensive side, but the quality and experience make it totally worth it. Highly recommend!

   Absolutely loved our visit here! I was down from Palmy visiting my son and he took me here for lunch. We were acknowledged as soon as we walked in the door — such friendly, genuine service. The staff went above and beyond and made us feel right at home. A special shout out to Piney who served us. She was the most beautiful, friendly and bubbly young lady. A real credit to Caffiend Cafe. The food was delicious — fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully served. You can tell there’s real care behind everything they do. A real gem. Can’t wait to come back!

   They utterly slather the toast in margarine. I found it inedible. I quite like Nuttelex, but this was so greasy - the sourdough is of course full of holes and every one of them was clogged to the brim. I would have asked for more toast but it was SO busy in there. The line was out the door and the wait staff don’t check on you once the food has been delivered because they are too busy. It’s a popular spot so it’s very loud. The coffee was absolutely amazing - no doubt one of the best coffees I’ve had in NZ - but the atmosphere and food was not for me. The poached eggs were undercooked, the bacon was greasy (not the slightest bit crisp) and I couldn’t eat toast swimming in margarine. My partners savoury mince was actually really good - but again, too much marge for me.

   We had such great service here! The Caffiend team were accommodating, engaging and genuinely interested in us as customers. Part of our group were late for the reservation and the staff didn't make an issue out of it, instead went out of the way to make us feel welcome and comfortable while we waited. The food was delicious and there was an excellent range of options on the menu. I'll definitely be going back next time we're in NZ!

   Ok… so sorry but it’s Jekyll and Hyde. How a cafe can go from hero to zero in two weeks baffles me. All I can say is that the owner and managers were present today when I was treated rudely. All credit though to the food and awesome coffee, but hey it’s a holistic experience and excellent service and hospitality trumps most issues. Maybe I’ll give it another go but there’s plenty of choice.

   10/10. The service was amazing, food was beautiful & the atmosphere was exceptional. Hubby & I came along today as part of our day date while the kids were at school. This cafē was recommended by our friends and we had such a good time. We were greeted by a friendly bunch of staff members, ordered our food and within 5-8minutes our food was out - super quick service. We had a delicious banana & berry smootie i will definitly get my own next time. The next time we are in petone we will be sure to stop by, cabinet food look delicious as well. Thank you for having us caffiend.

   Visited at a fairly busy time but still was able to score a table for 2. We ordered The Fiend and the smashed avocado. Both meals were amazing well portioned and coffee was great (strong how I like it). The atmosphere was buzzing and staff were very helpful. Our meals came out within 10mins surprising considering the amount of customers at the time. Will most definitely be returning.
