   I really liked this place. The view is great and the menu looks good. The coffee has always been good. This morning I met a friend for breakfast, we got our menus, coffees came super quick. We had a bit of catching up to do so hadn't even looked at the menu when asked for our order. We asked for a bit more time. Waitress never returned. Never made eye contact. Finished coffees. Sat and looked at the staff to try and get their attention. We were basically ignored. It wasnt that busy. I wasnt going to order at the counter, and wasnt going to call out, so we paid for coffees and left. Was really looking forward to steak and eggs. Two stars is generous, based on past experiences. Hospo is all about service, a cafe can't survive in this economic climate on reputation and kiwiana kitsch.

   We enjoyed catching up with family recently at the Seashore Cabaret, and this spot was perfect for the occasion. Drove past it initially as there's no sign on the outside of the building, just the entrance menu adds, but the name is inside the covered door? Anyway it's upstairs from there in the old dance hall, and photo's from that time are displayed prominently inside, and are alongside eclectic items from the past...great vibe, which combines into a unique theme. The food is tasty and presentable, and fits within expectations. You won't be wowed but SC is efficient, and it has to be as this is one of the few places I've been to lately with a queue. Go early to beat it... The icing on the cake is the view and on this day it was a deal breaker. Our coffee/lunch date was complete, and it was a pleasant experience. Reccomend.

   Super cool space that you would never know existed above the storefront. We ate too quickly to take photos, but had the Thai beef salad, big breakfast, and the standard two egg plate. My son had a salted caramel milkshake that he said was wonderful. They have a full soda bar and coffee bar along with amazing pastries. It’s a little loud inside. The view is absolutely amazing even on this cloudy day. This is a fun place to eat with great food!

   Incredible staff and service. A little quirky and kitschy in the best ways imaginable. Delicious espresso martini. Great tap selection. Beautiful view, amazing sunset. Rowing Club established in 1900. If you can only go one place in Wellington, go here :)

   Pie and pancakes were good, so was the coffee. Nice view from the window side tables, lots of interesting vintage decorations around the restaurant. For some reason the egg was missing from the "bacon and egg sandwich", but the staff was nice enough to acknowledge the mistake and offer a new one (although we did not take up the offer).

   The outside of the building had me nearly run away to be honest but I’m so glad that I didn’t! Inside the cafe is really awesome with lots of cool things to look at and they have old school pinball machines!!! The staff were all lovely. It was great coffee!! The eggs bene with bacon was sooo good, it had heaps of perfectly cooked bacon. The kids pancakes were a 10/10 according to my son. Definitely would recommend dining here

   Seashore Caberet is a great place to go for brunch. The food is excellent and there is a good selection to pick from. The Truckers' breakfast is really tasty. The service is always very good, and the views towards Wellington and across the bay are beautiful. It's definitely worth a visit.
