“Havana Bar was recommended to us on a Wellington review page. Everything was really excellent. The atmosphere was cozy. The music and the lights were appropriate for our conversation. The food and drinks were delicious and at a fair price. We highlight the ceviche, you must try it! We will definitely come back to enjoy the night of live music.”

“Come for the Star Wars decor, stay for the drinks and Pomodoro Pizza. The fine folks at Pizza Pomodoro informed me that if I would like to enjoy their pizza in a place with tables and seats (PP has only two very small tables) that Goldings had plenty of those AND sold their pizza there as well. So we went to Goldings and it was exactly as advertised. Best of both worlds and a bigger drink selection. Will be happy to return many many times in the future.”

“Hidden gem. This place's esthetic is true Japanese and yet, it's blended so well with good world beer and the art of conversation. Dominic, the bar owner made me feel welcomed and we chatted about the world and beer for ages. They made me great beer recommendations and made me a stonkin' vegan sandwich (pulled jackfruit). Low-key. Friendly. Tasty beer and snacks. Top marks!”

“What a hidden gem!! Super tender and crispy chicken and yummy sauces, also very reasonably low price for the portion you get! You can also order online and it only took 5min for my order to be ready :) Just an FYI I got the kimchi bowl which is the only bowl that doesn’t include steamed rice which I didn’t notice.”

“Incredibly friendly staff and delicious food at terrific value. We ordered quite a spread to try out a few different things. The portions were very generous and well priced. “There's not many times I rate places highly, but this is one of those – A fabulous evening for our, sort of, party of five (one was takeout due to illness) Our recent visit was an absolute delight, with each dish thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. We were a party of five, and the quality of both food and service exceeded expectations. Mains Birria Tacos (2 orders): The beef was exceptionally tender and juicy, cooked to perfection and full of flavor. Roasted Pepper Quesadilla: A standout dish with a perfectly crisp exterior, balanced by rich, melted cheese and tender roasted vegetables and fruits. Roasted Cauliflower: Simple yet delicious, this dish was well-seasoned and delicious. Chicken Quesadilla (Takeaway): Our youngest, who was unfortunately unable to join us due to a migraine, thoroughly enjoyed this dish at home. He said it was “really nice”. Sharing Plate Salsas and Dips with Corn Chips: A great starter for the table. The trio of dips was well-received, with the group informally ranking them 1-3 from left to right as presented in the picture. While the green dip was the least favoured, all were enjoyed and complemented the chips well. Desserts Churros (2 orders, 1 takeaway): These were a highlight. Both in-house and takeaway servings were praised for their crisp texture and were perfectly paired with chocolate and caramel sauces. In-House Special Sponge with Ice Cream (2 orders): A refined dessert with soft sponge and delicate flavours that matched beautifully with the ice cream. Overall, the experience was outstanding. The menu offered a limited, but wonderful variety, and each dish was crafted with care. We look forward to returning and highly recommend this restaurant to others.”

“Came here to get the wagyu. Tried the bruschetta and it was delicious. The balsamic sauce and the hummus were so good together, tomatoes were fresh, and the bread was tasty as well. My seasonal fruit mojito was super tangy but tasted great. Had some spencer potatoes as well which was a good addition to my main, which was the A5 Kagoshima Wagyu. Literally melted in my mouth, it was super fatty and was so good together try for the first time. For dessert I tried their seasonal fruit sorbet, which was icy, and at the time the sorbet was very tangy, but was good overall. I also got the layered honey cake which was 10/10.”

“Wow the staff here are absolutely amazing! We came for the MLB game and had big screens with NFL as well. The wings were soooo great, the garlic bread was quite dry BUT had a chat with the chef who offered us replacements that were super great (chips and GF garlic bread). Made our entire experience so great. The bartender Gabe also was so amazing and made us feel very welcomed and at home.”

He's added so many features (doggy biscuits and beers, kids play area, lots of board games, weekly food trucks, weekly quizzes) that have made it not only a family friendly, local pub, but also a destination. Offering some amazing beers, wonderful staff will take you into their care and ensure you can kick back and relax. Dog friendly, kid friendly, social team friendly, it really does offer do much! Thanks for everything team, we love you!”

“Not sure why, but every time I attend a gig here, this kid in booty shorts tells me I'm too drunk to be served. It keeps happening. Quite annoying because every time I want a beer I have to leave the premises, go to Hotel Bristol, order from a grown-up, sink my drink in like 90 seconds then head back to San Fran, hoping I haven't missed too much of the set i've paid good money to see. I'd recommend some staff training.”
