    Crumpet

    ★★★★☆ 4.5
    Closed

“Crumpet is such a nice place for having a drink and small talks or deep conversations. The vibe of this place is so good and relaxing, especially with the candle on the table. However, when the shop is full of people, it is getting a little busy and noisy, but it still provides good vibes. For the crew at Crumpet, they are very knowledgeable in making the drink. We ordered a drink based on our own taste, and they made it so good! Overall, Crumpet is recommended!”

    Le Saigon Vietnamese Kitchen

    ★★★★☆ 4.5

“✅✅✅✅✅ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Deeeeeelicious!!! High quality ingredients, prepared to a high standard, presented authentically, and with perfect condiments to heighten the Vietnamese experience. Would recommend for: -Corporate entertaining -Date nights -Solo treats -Small gatherings The only thing to elevate this to flawless would be to have a mixologist to tie in the Vietnamese flavour profiles. We wouldn’t have left, and the bill would have happily been tripled.”

“This bar is a hidden gem, capable of bringing out the pirate in anyone! The thrill of discovering this place was truly rewarding. The atmosphere and decor are remarkable, with artificial skulls on the wall showcasing meticulous attention to detail. Every corner offers unique seating options and ambiance, making the experience truly special. The staff is delightful and enjoyable to chat with. The "Skull Punch" drink, served with a spectacular fiery show, is a definite recommendation for the thrilling experience it provides. Exploring the various rum-based cocktails was a fun adventure. Surprisingly, the place wasn't overly busy for a Friday night, adding to the overall positive experience.”

“What a cool little bar. Locate the sign on the street and walk up the stairs. The entrance has no real sign, there is just a closed door and when opened reveals a funky bar. Cool atmosphere, would be great in winter on a cosy winter night but we enjoyed it on a hot summers night. Just stopped for one drink but wish we could have stayed longer.”

“I wish all airport bars were this good! Best beer on tap in the airport and at reasonable prices that make whiling away the time a great option! United Brew Dogs covers your best craft beer options from the Wellington Region with Fortune Favours, Boneface, and Kereru, while still ensuring some solid New Zealand presentation from across the country. Quick service makes sitting and waiting for your plan that much more pleasant. A great wine list ensures all taste palettes are supported. The bar tenders can bang out your standard drinks or mix up something more top shelf depending on your mood ahead of trace. The food options are easily navigable as United Brew Dogs opts for simpler sharing style foods over full plates, making for a communal ambiance and a more welcoming atmosphere. Try their hotdogs, they’re made with the finest ingredients from sausage to the condiments dressing them. The ambience was warm and inviting, the cleanliness of the space was impressive, and the attention to detail in both service and presentation truly stood out. The food was top-notch – full of flavour, fresh, and beautifully prepared. I genuinely enjoyed every dish I tried. “My partner and I usually go out once a month for dinner to restaurants around Wellington and we were delighted with this place! I have a gluten intolerance and the staff member that served us was super accommodating! I absolutely loved the cocktails, I had a tropical one with an ice block and a toasted marshmallow screwer. My partner had a yellow curry and I had the Bangkok Street Noodles and they even gave me some peanut sauce as I could have soy sauce and it went perfectly well with it! I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone and will be back! Thanks for a great night and experience!”

“Absolutely flawless, perfect 5 stars! Despite arriving quite late, around 8 pm, I was greeted warmly by the staff, all with genuine smiles. The restaurant's atmosphere was cozy and spotlessly clean, with plenty of seating available. The menu was impressively extensive, and the staff graciously guided me through the options with clear explanations. Opting for (Hainanese) chicken rice, I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived promptly in just 5 minutes. The presentation was stunning, and the taste surpassed all expectations. The chicken was juicy and bursting with flavour, complemented perfectly by the fresh and crispy fried onions, freshest sliced cucumber and the subtly tangy soy-based sauce. The homemade chili sauce was also very authentic and a delightful touch. The accompanying chicken soup was also delicious and showcased the freshness and quality of the ingredients. At $22, the meal was not only delicious but also amazingly good value. Both the attentive waitstaff and the friendly chef made me feel incredibly welcome, leaving me eager to return. With so many enticing dishes left to try, I'm already looking forward to my next visit.”

“OMG the "Pasion Ardiente (Burning Passion)" cocktail is the absolute BEST! Can ask for it to be less spicy if you want. Have never had such a delicious cocktail before, apart from my usual Pina Coladas. 1st time here, can't wait to come back. Great staff, atmosphere, and food looked amazing. We just came for drinks this time.”

“Eating on my own as travelling for work, so looking for tasty food and reasonable pricing, and an atmosphere where it doesn’t feel awkward being a sole diner. I had been here some time ago, enjoyed it very much and this time was certainly well satisfied on all counts. Only had a main, pork belly, plus side of veges. Serving size was really generous - I liked the sound of the mussels entree but would never have fitted that in as well! Very tasty - I enjoy sampling pork belly on my travels and this was excellent.”

We worked our way through a few of the non-alcoholic beer and gin offerings too; appreciated having options for those driving.”

I disagree with previous comments about small portion sizes, all the portions were generous Just a note that I think things are unsalted intentionally but this wasn't a big issue at all, plenty of salt on the table”
