“Such a long trail and have to climb up the mountain to reach the upper lighthouse of pencarrow. Lots of awesome trails with views of the beach, mountains and green landscape. Biking is the most recommended option so as to cover a lot of stuff around and enjoy all the views from the top.”

“A nice walkway next to the wharf that provides nice views of the harbor, and leads to a nice happening area with various restaurants, bars, and high end shops. The walk is flat and easy so can be managed by anyone with basic fitness, however it’s windy in general and in a windy day it gets slightly challenging to walk. The walk from the parking lot at this location to the shops is 1.6 KM / 1 mile. Walking from the parking lot to the other end will take at least 30 minutes with plenty of stops around monuments on the way.”

“The very best point to get views of Oriental Bay and beyond. The "convent" is undergoing renovation and on weekdays parking at this spot might be problematic.”

“Such good food served by the friendly owner who was very attentive. He was also very funny and had a great sense of humor about one in our party being late. I tried the veggie red & green curries and both were perfectly done and piled full of vegetables. The rice is super fresh and doled our generously every few minutes so you don’t have to worry about getting hungry.”

“I recently visited the beach, and it was an amazing experience. The walk along the shore with my dog and kids was absolutely perfect—plenty of space to roam and explore. The views were breathtaking, with the expansive ocean stretching out in front of us. If you're lucky, you might even spot some seals lounging nearby, which was a real highlight of the day. A perfect spot for a family outing, with nature at its finest!”

“My friend and I came in to have something to eat and chat. We were met with amazing service, so kind and caring when ordering our food. We weren't too hungry so we shared a mixed meat on chips and they brought it out with an extra plate for us to share. The meat on chips was the most delicious one we've had yet. So filling yet refreshing at the same time. We couldn't stop talking about how amazing the meal was. New favourite food place in wellington 5 stars!”

“Lovely place for date night !! We did the "first table" deal and worked great for us. We tried quite a few items of the menu and had great savings. I would absolutely recommend the fish crudo, the Rib eye and the truffle gnocchi. I know is a meat restaurant, but let me say the gnocchi was one of the best I've had; the onion soubise was espectacular, airy and tasty. In general the sides were ok, Caesar salad was good AND the puré as well, would probably not order the mushrooms again. Desserts were good, specially the tiramisú. Would've appreciated a chocolate option as well... The service by the two french ladies was perfect! Attentive and professional. Would recommend !”

Though a little space, A Taste of Greece offers every facet of the Greek experience you could want, from over-stuffed shelves filled with olive oils by the litre, sardines, fine salts, and classic Hellenic confectionery to cabinet food offering five types of feta, the biggest baklava slices you’ve seen, and savoury delicacies you wish your own mother could cook. Stay in for the Greek Burger or Halloumi Salad, both are very reasonably priced and simply delivered. A good takeaway menu means you don’t have to contend for one of the five little tables, though be aware that this place serves Greek souvlaki, not the mis-labelled souvlaki Christchurch residents are so adamant about. Go here to feel all the warmth of a big Greek family, and enjoy the moments between delicious bites where you ponder buying an ornament Greek Orthodox cross or quoting My Big Fat Greek Wedding.”

“AMAZING dentist, I am from the UK so this was my first visit to a NZ dentist. I did visit a dentist across the road who was said to be cheaper and had a terrible experience. It was a relief to visit central dentist. My dentist knew exactly what he was doing and explained to me each step. I felt confident I was in the hands of a professional dentist. “I visited the Mount Victoria Lookout, which sits at the highest point in Wellington, and the experience was truly breathtaking. From one side, you get a stunning view of the endless sea, and from the other, the entire Wellington city opens up beautifully beneath you. You can even watch planes landing and taking off at the airport—it’s a mesmerizing sight from that height. The lookout also features photos showing how Wellington has evolved from the early 1900s to today, which adds a lovely historical touch to the visit. Overall, it’s one of the finest places to explore with family, offering unforgettable views and a calming atmosphere.”

“National museum of New Zealand that hold a big native collection, 3 floors with a lot of history, and for me, the most impressive is the war one, with it's people representing what they were doing in a big scale, that you can view the details of the figures. Worth to take a look and visit it! :)”
