Had an absolutely fantastic experience at Wolf. From the moment we sat down, the service was outstanding. Anna was lovely, smiley, and incredibly helpful when taking our orders, which really set the tone for the night. I ordered the steak frites with café de Paris butter added, and it was cooked perfectly - rich, flavourful, and exactly what you want from a classic dish done right. My partner had the gnocchi along with the market oysters, and both were delicious and beautifully presented. The vibe was spot on too. We were seated in a booth with a perfect view overlooking Wellington Harbour, which made the whole experience feel relaxed yet special. Great food, great service, and a great atmosphere. We couldn’t fault it. Highly recommend and will definitely be back

Had my company dinner here, was a good setting, especially the outdoor patio area had a nice flow to it. The quality of the Wakanui steak was really good, good marbling and well aged. I always like my steaks medium-rare but more on the rare side, and I must say this place gets it right 10 out 10 times. The lobster with beurre blanc was delicious! And the dessert with some Martel VSOP hits the spot at the end. Highly recommended. *As this review is a bit dated some items from the menu may not be available

Great Steak Restaurant. Starting with the Milk Punch cocktail is a must before moving onto freshly shucked oysters, superbly cooked steak with all the sauces and sides of well cooked chips and lovely seasonal veges oh yes and don’t forget the mushrooms. If any room left the Cheese Board is outstanding. The Team were very welcoming and friendly adding to an overall excellent experience.

Incredible experience! So private for two, the way the dining is set up was wonderful. Service is so good, they check your bag and coat, constantly refilling water, and 10/10 food! Can't beat it. Ribeye was delicious and huge (pic is deceiving). Fries were best I've ever had!

Lovely place for date night !! We did the "first table" deal and worked great for us. We tried quite a few items of the menu and had great savings. I would absolutely recommend the fish crudo, the Rib eye and the truffle gnocchi. I know is a meat restaurant, but let me say the gnocchi was one of the best I've had; the onion soubise was espectacular, airy and tasty. In general the sides were ok, Caesar salad was good AND the puré as well, would probably not order the mushrooms again. Desserts were good, specially the tiramisú. Would've appreciated a chocolate option as well... The service by the two french ladies was perfect! Attentive and professional. Would recommend !

Probably the best meal and service I've had for a long time. Food was amazing, presented well and the flavors all combined well. Situated in a great spot in Welly. Offered a huge amount of lovely wines, cocktails. Vegan and Gluten free options. Definitely will be coming back to try the rest of the menu.

One of the best restaurants that I have visited in Wellington. Interior and decor was on point, really classy but didn’t make you feel like you shouldn’t be there! Staff were incredible, really attentive and knew the dishes etc extraordinary well. We ordered the chargrilled octopus, and also the pig cheek and scallops for starters, which were really amazing not usually dishes I would go for but wanted to be adventurous and they didn’t disappoint. For mains I had the wakanui blue steak and my husband had the catch of the day fish (which we can’t remember the name of unfortunately!) both were absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. We ordered three sides of chips, mushrooms and spinach which were all a delightful complement to our main dish and very good portion sizes! A really broad selection of non alcoholic and alcoholic drinks on offer, although will always stick with what we like when out as drinking out isn’t exactly cheap and I had already exerted my adventurous side with the octopus! So I had lager and my husband Guinness. We didn’t have puddings as we we’re absolutely stuffed and was going to a rave close by straight after. The total bill wasn’t too alarming either, although I did have 2 for 1 with entertainment book with saved us $50. But I would definitely return for special occasions and would be more than happy to pay full price for the amazing food, service and ambiance. 10 out of 10

The Entrée char-grilled octopus is amazing. The NZ Tomahawk steak is good too, what a high quality of dry aged beef! Sides are excellent, especially the beef fat fries and potatoes. Staff are friendly and helpful, we had a good time there.
