I bought lunch here a week ago and was impressed with the friendly lady serving. I was really impressed with the pain au rhubarb so had it again next day and bought another to treat my wife. She loved it!
It’s a takeaway cafe. Seems there are a lot of regulars who go there. We can see why. Friendly service. It was fun to see her multi-task and she does it so well. Hot Cross bun was so delicious. The cinnamon roll would have been better if warmed up but still delicious. Coffee was great.
One thing you should be absolutely guaranteed when you go to something branded the French Baker is good bread. But this baguette was hard and without real baguette character. The ham and mustard were 100%, and the lettuce fine. But my disappointment with the bread prevails. Neither the southern or northern French style of baguette delivered adequately.
Beautiful Flat White, Chocolate Almond Croissant and the owner that made my morning on a cold day before the ferry. Would def be back anytime I’m in Welly for the rest of the good-lookin’ pastries, sangas and coffee! Best regards from a Polish sweet tooth! x @elliessuperfoods
Friendly little cafe, that has excellent service, coffee and food. For the mocha lovers out there I would highly recommend! Coffee was high quality, made quickly and great convo. Not many little cafe businesses like this around in welly anymore so - we’ll worth supporting!
We get pastries for all of our special meetings from The French Baker. Everyone who attends compliments us on them. This morning we had extra special service when the shop was so short-staffed it had to close. Our pastries were still delivered in time and up to the usual high standard. I thoroughly recommend The French Baker. (And a special thanks for this morning.)
Best Coffee and Snacks i could find in Wellington. I keep dragging my Friends there and they all confirm. Always pleasent to be there and garantue to leave with a smile!
