The restaurant has an inviting cool vibe to it as soon as you enter with vivid multi-colored hanging lanterns. The service was quick and efficient. Food was quite tasty, especially the starters - we loved our green popcorn chicken and the grilled prawn vol-au-vent. The others loved their mains, my pork two ways noodle stir fry was yummy apart from a few of the noodles clumping together. But theyβre rice noodles, so understandable.

Our experience at Rock Yard was absolutely fantastic. Shoutout to our waitress (Phong - hope I spelled it correctly). She was super attentive and friendly. The food was so tasty and the overall atmosphere was really cool. We shared the fried spring rolls and the vegetarian summer roles. As a main we had the chicken and tofu&mushroom curry. All of it was delicious, the curry was really one of the best I've ever had. Highly recommend going to Rock yard if you look for an outstanding Vietnamese restaurant in Wellington.

Rock Yard was the perfect choice for my friend and I for a quick pre-show meal. The menu has a really good range to suit all appetites. We just selected some starters and coconut rice for a quick, light meal. Everything was delicious ( I especially liked the crispy buttercup golden pillow dumplings) and the service was welcoming and efficient. I look forward to dining here again and trying out more of the menu

Service is superb. Some of the best waitressing I've experienced in a while! Food is just as good - just make sure you have plenty of room as portion size is big.

My first time visit! Fall in love straightaway! The atmosphere is beautiful, the waitress who served us was so welcoming & helpful, and the food is amazingly delicious! We shared crispy dumplings and green bao ban with eggplants as starter, then pancake & noodles for main. The food was generous and delicious. I never thought vegetarian options can be so full of taste and varieties! Totally enjoyed and definitely visit again!

We had a great time here on Saturday night! Our waiter was so hilarious he had us in fits of laughter and was also great at making sure we had everything we needed. The wine list was great and all our food was delicious (especially the popcorn chicken), we left full and happy. Would highly recommend.

This was our first visit to Rock Yard & it certainly wonβt be our last! Very prompt service by lovely friendly wait staff. Delicious cocktails and such flavoursome food. Very generous portions - highly recommend the duck curry & Vietnamese crispy pancake.

Rock Yard lived up to its excellent reviews. We came for a pre-show dinner and shared several small plates. It was a busy Friday night but the food came quickly, was beautifully presented and tasted delicious. The staff were helpful and charming. I especially appreciated the innovative way the food was plated.

Love their Bun Bo Hue.. Hue spicy beef noodle soup but with no pork. Itβs a bit different from the usual Pho I bar but itβs tasty. Perfect for cold windy Welly. I tried the chicken curry and the calamari as well. The curry is sweet for me but delicious and rich. The calamari is good. Service is great and the food comes fast. The staff is helpful as well. I asked for hotter and spicier soup and they changed my soup to my liking. The ambience is lovely as well and I love the mural & the colorful lampoons. Dinner is packed but we find the table without waiting. The entrance is not too friendly for people with wheelchairs as it has steps. But on the entrance there are seats with high tables.

We shared a selection of dishes: spring rolls, soft shell crab, pork belly, chilli chicken, king prawns, and roast duck curry. The stand outs were the king prawns and soft shell crab. (And the phin filter coffee, a must try!) The dishes were all still good, but not remarkable. We had a table with many dietary restrictions: gluten free, dairy free, and fish allergies, and the staff were excellent in accommodating these restrictions.
