   Stopped here in search for the best big breakfast! Nice cosy little cafe. Service slow but this was down to only 2 people serving/cooking. Friendly staff and nice food. Recommend.

   Mum and I randomly called in last Monday. We initially wanted a coffee and a sandwich, but ended up having a late breakfast instead. I had the Big Breakfast and she had the Pancake Stack. As it was Monday, the coffee was on special, but they didn’t stop there, they also accepted further discounts with the SuperGold.. but this review isn’t about the discounts.. Food: Well, hers was perfectly constructed and had fantastic flavour. The banana just set it off with the Maple Syrup. My eggs were poached perfectly, the bacon had just the right amount of crispness, bread was toasted just right, the ONLY small thought that had afterwards was maybe an extra butter, but had I have asked they may have provided. Drinks: I must admit, I did ask for 2 Latte’s and we accidentally got Flat Whites instead, but as I didn’t realise until I tasted it? By then I didn’t care. The coffee was excellent, but I prefer my coffee after my meal. I won’t critique that issue as I didn’t ask for that at the time. Service: The staff work very efficiently, even the interactions between themselves appeared very positive and they actually looked like they enjoyed being at work on a Monday. The formality of the ‘shirt and tie’ is not something you see at your regular cafe, it was very professional. Atmosphere: Great little place. Possibly because of the time of day, it was nice relaxing and rather quiet. The diners bathroom was well stocked and definitely well maintained. My only issue was, and this is really MY issue. I’m a bigger guy and I found the tables a little close together, I’ll try a different table next time. It’s a shame you don’t seem to appear on Yelp currently, but I’ll keep an eye out to comment next time. All in all, this was a VERY pleasant experience and I look forward to returning again real soon.

   I recently had the pleasure of visiting this charming cafe, and it exceeded all my expectations! The coffee was top-notch, and the cheese scone was simply divine - a perfect pairing. The service was impeccable, and the staff was friendly and attentive throughout my visit. The cozy and inviting atmosphere made it a delightful spot to sit and enjoy my treats. I also noticed that the cafe seems to be under new ownership, and the positive changes are evident. I highly recommend this cafe to anyone looking for a great cup of coffee and delicious treats in a warm and welcoming setting. I can't wait to return!

   This cafe is little gem hidden on High St, Lower Hutt. Had lunch with my family here. Food was fantastic! Freshly made, price is reasonably good for the big portions you receive. Fluffy pancakes with topping of crystalized bananas, bacon, fresh cream and syrup on the side. Chicken fettuccini was rich and creamy. Has a little kick of spice in it. Huge portion! Very filling but absolute delish! Omelette cooked to perfection. Eggs Benedict was good, mushrooms well cooked. However eggs were a little overcooked therefore no running yolk and the hollandaise looked more like mayonaise but overall it was very tasty! Waffle was fresh, moist with a touch of crunch to the crust. I purchased a carrot cake to take home. It wasn't the best carrot cake I've had but it was still edible. Cake was a little dense and icing was quite firm. It seemed it was from the night before but the flavours were there. The service was great and friendly. If you have a big appetite and you enjoy a good hearty meal then this place would be the best place to be!

   When I got the creamy mushrooms, I didn't think they meant creamy as in creamy with cheese. Nonetheless, still tasty but a bit too heavy for me. The smoothies here are great though.

   Really enjoyed the food and so did the kids. Found the services quite slow so was hard telling the kids they had to keep waiting as they were telling me they were hungry and for one of them, their drink took ages to come out. Also recommend getting a table further away from the counter if dining in, as it is very noisy with the coffee machine and blenders nearby. However the food was amazing, had the Eggs Benedict with Salmon and it was great. Kids got hotdog/chicken nuggets with chips and they were a good size for them.
