Wonderful place in Wellington. Great selection of gins, tasty prompt food, and friendly staff. Its my "go to" every time I'm in Wellington city.
Arrived after a bit of a search (we used Maps to navigate, and two phones disagreed on the location). tired and hungry. Seated near the bar we found the music far too loud, so we requested another table and were quickly taken to a quieter area. Cocktails well priced during the happy hour and well made. Meals arrived quickly and were very good. Partner enjoyed the Pork Belly; I enjoyed the beer battered fish. Pricing was pretty reasonable. Front of house staff didn't seem to track who was serving who, so we were asked several times if we were ready to order - we'd already ordered. Better than having nobody take orders, I guess.
An absolutely great spot to dine in. We popped in on a Wednesday evening before an appointment. The service was slick and our very tasty flatbread then risottos came out so quickly. Lovely staff. A fabulous gin selection too. Highly recommend ✔️
Great spot, hidden in plain sight. Seated and served promptly and meals very delicious. Have a great little gourmet burger selection too.

Absolutely love coming to Juniper when in Wellington for work. The food is so tasty and the drinks are incredible! I had the Beef Cheeks which were so tender and flavoursome. The Honey Trap cocktail was just brilliant! Staff are so friendly and it is the perfect place to nip out and have a drink or bite to eat with friends or colleagues.
One of our go-to bars.. Right the middle of the CBD, in Lambton Quay area. Easy to reach, plenty of paid street parking spots (not during the peak hours though) and friendly, fast service. Staff are very helpful as well. I usually go for a get-together with some friends and communities here, ordering mocktails and finger foods. Love their pizzas, calamari, and wedges. Enough space upstairs and if we book, we can have the spot for ourselves. The tables for dining is down stairs. It has some outdoor chairs as well The entrance has stairs on it so it might be tricky for those with wheelchair.
Limited menu for lunch. Food was okay. What shocked me was $17 for a glass of rose! Wine wasn't on the wine list so I had no idea it was that expensive. Moral of the story - always establish the price before you order
We went for a few drinks so no food rating. The service was excellent. The atmosphere...well destroyed by the incredibly loud table over from us. It's alright singing and banging but it was constant. Would I go back? Not sure, gin was great, service was great, let down by poor patrons. Not the places fault but still doesn't make for great ratings.
