“I've been to most cafés around Wellington City and Petone/Lower Hutt, and Kelburn Café is hands down the most consistently amazing. I order Eggs Benedict everywhere I go, and after 10+ visits here, I've never once had an over—or undercooked egg - the consistency here is outstanding. It is a small café, so when it's busy there can be a short wait for food or coffee, but it's always worth it. The coffee is consistently perfect, and the beans they use are clearly top quality. The café is run by a small team who always serve with a smile, and the atmosphere is amazing. Couldn't recommend them enough - I'll definitely be back regularly.”

“Wow the staff here are absolutely amazing! We came for the MLB game and had big screens with NFL as well. The wings were soooo great, the garlic bread was quite dry BUT had a chat with the chef who offered us replacements that were super great (chips and GF garlic bread). Made our entire experience so great. The bartender Gabe also was so amazing and made us feel very welcomed and at home.”

“A good place for beers after work, good selection of beers thar are regularly updated. Expect it to be busy if its straight after work, with it being quieter a couple of hours after. Don't forget to sample the beers if you aren't sure whether you like it, staff are helpful and knowledgeable”

“Since John took over, this pub has gone from strength to strength. He's added so many features (doggy biscuits and beers, kids play area, lots of board games, weekly food trucks, weekly quizzes) that have made it not only a family friendly, local pub, but also a destination. Offering some amazing beers, wonderful staff will take you into their care and ensure you can kick back and relax. Dog friendly, kid friendly, social team friendly, it really does offer do much! “By far the best liquor store in the Hutt. Staff are absolutely lovely and are super helpful!, always asking how you are and if you’d like recommendations. Prices are consistently great, and some of the deals are perfect especially during the Christmas months. Store looks lovely too, bottles are clean, neat and tidy, it’s perfect!. Selection is also very vast which is amazing. If I could rate this store higher I would, Definitely worth your while!”

“Visited the Cafe and exhibitions today. The Cafe food and coffee was top quality, and the exhibition spaces are well set out. The art works were suitably challenging, made us think and ponder, which good art should do! Highly recommend a visit.”

“Not sure why, but every time I attend a gig here, this kid in booty shorts tells me I'm too drunk to be served. It keeps happening. Quite annoying because every time I want a beer I have to leave the premises, go to Hotel Bristol, order from a grown-up, sink my drink in like 90 seconds then head back to San Fran, hoping I haven't missed too much of the set i've paid good money to see. I'd recommend some staff training.”

“Very tasty Korean Fried Chicken in Wellington. We ordered the original crispy chicken meal and the The Big Burger with volcano chicken. The crispy chicken is real crisp and super juicy. Love the spice level of the Volcano too. Well worth the trip for us as we came from Porirua seeking for a yummy korean fried chicken and they didn't disappoint. The burger is really good but a bit tricky to eat so can get a bit messy. The meal/combos are a good alternative for a single diner. Good portion size and their chips are real good as well.”

“Lovely store. Well laid out, spacious, good lighting, good range of products, friendly staff. We are just visiting the area for a short time so could not buy much but my daughter was pleased to find VerMints (the ginger mint flavour, which I was first introduced to by a friend in the US and they can be hard to find in NZ), coconut water, and Proper Crisps corn chips (which can be hard to find in our home town). We also got some Clipper tea advent calendars for her and her sister later this year.”
